Reviews on Chinese food in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Along the Truckee River in the tranquil Truckee Meadow is fast-growing Sparks, Nevada, Reno's less flamboyant neighbor to the east. Although home to only one high rise casino, Sparks offers visitors other pleasures with live festivals and events in open air venues, a lively farmers' market, a multiplex theater and less pricey accommodations than its high-rolling neighbor. Its proximity to both Reno's casinos and Lake Tahoe makes Sparks a perfect destination for a Northern Nevada Vacation.

This restaurant is located at the site of the old Genghis Grill. The meal consists of a small, medium, or all-you-can-eat selection. You then proceed to prepare your meal yourself, adding whatever proteins, vegetables, and sauces you choose. Then your meal is cooked and served to you at your table for you to enjoy.

Nice atmosphere, good food, easy to get to, and usually not crowded are among the reasons we've been going here for better than 30 years. They also do take-out.

We took 5 people to dinner here and ordered 5 main dishes to share between us (and soup for all and an appetizer). The first hint of problems to come was that we ordered a Kendall Jackson Cabernet (at a very reasonable price) and the waiter brought a Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. He didn't show me the bottle before he opened it, so I didn't realize that it was the wrong wine until he started pouring it. I said that we would not accept it and the waiter was insistent that I had ordered the Chardonnay (we never order other than red in restaurants). I insisted that they change it, and they did. Of the 5 main dishes that we ordered, one didn't appear at the table until the others were almost cold and we were almost through eating.

Line was quite long due to 2 hour wait at other restaurants in building. Had wonton soup very good but would have preferred a seat in restaurant to eat it. Ate on theater steps due to limited seat availability.

Top notch Chinese cuisine. A favorite of the locals. Outstanding Mongolian Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Orange Chicken. Szechuan dishes and Kung Pao Chicken not as authentic or tasty. Two choices of complete meals including appetizers. Sometimes large groups make it crowded. Recent price increases make it a little pricey.

Parking good, lighting outside a bit dark. The property is clean. Reception was courteous. Menu is varied. Food had great flavor and was very fresh. Service was stellar. Portions were generous. Pricing was a bit high. Solid

Have eaten here a few times with my senior mother. The staff are wonderful catering to my mother's mobility needs! It looks small and unassuming from the outside but once inside the atmosphere is very soothing and cultural. Really like the shrimp options. I'm not a fan of egg drop soup and always opt for wonton soup instead. Lunch deals are very reasonable! Look forward to eating here when I'm visiting my mom!

Another great experience at this restaurant @ The Grand Sierra Resort. Once again the wife and I ordered the all you can eat sushi. Great service at a very reasonable price. Very fresh and flavorful.
