Things to do in Salalah
Basic Asian food with just a slight leaning towards Chinese. Not very authentic as neither the waiters OR the cooks are Chinese.Dishes that should be spicy are sweet and vice versa! Not vet impressive.Peter & Jean. :o)
The best chinese retaurant in Salalah, Oman. Situated With in Hamdan Plaza Hotel just opposite to Lu Lu Hyper Market, an ideal place for families and corporates etc. The Food is amazing and the service is the best in Salalah.
We went here expecting real authentic chinese food but unfortunately everything tasted the same and each dish was smothered in prefab indian flavor.
Restaurant service was okay (quite a busy festive period); the food was good - quite different from what one is normally accustomed to.The atmosphere, being the KHAREEF (monsoon) festival time, was bustling with people from various countries.
This outlet just recently opened, near Sultan Qaboos Hospital and the Al Maha petrol station. The interior looks bright, clean & welcoming and there are lots of staff on hand. Their fresh juices are fantastic! They also offer fast food, Chinese and Indian cuisine, though I haven't yet had a chance to taste those. I am a regular for their juices though - delicious!
Talasserty has a uniqe place in kerala thassery is known for its biriyani unlike other biriyanies. talassery biryani uses kaima/jeerakasala rice instead of the usual basmati rice
Pepper chicken grill is yummy one serving everyday evening - highlight is pepper itself in the grill chickenSuper preparation and a good one to try .
I wouldn't rave about this place, but equally it is OK. I wish tripadvisor had a simple 'good' rating as 'average' seems too harsh, but I wouldn't go so far as to say 'very good'. Anyway, this restaurant has a kind of weird decor with very high backed booths and walls so each little booth is private (I guess they act like family rooms). The menu is vast and food is very reasonably priced and generous portions. My partner was very happy with his meal - I was less so, but I'm vegetarian and perhaps the tastier dishes are meat or fish based. The sweet & sour vegetables I had were quite insipid. The veg spring rolls were good though although crispier batter would have been preferable. If you fancy Chinese fare it's not a bad place to go...

A very disappointed meal. Very dim atmosphere, slow service, low quality food. Nothing is related to china except the names of dishes. The menu is limited, fired rice, fried chicken, soups, salads. I don't think it is a true Chinese restaurant. It certainly did not feel like it.

Oh we liked China Palace, so much we had no hesitation in going back. It's easy to find, next door to the Grand Mosque, with easy parking outside.Great mix of Chinese, Indian and other Asian dishes. Loved the chicken satay starter. Servings of rice are just HUGE! Service was efficient and value for money outstanding. Seems popular with a large cross section of customers too, pleasant atmosphere for dinner. Will definitely return when next in Salalah!

Taste is the Best..Palace is the best.
The better option to the Salala Trip, stay in Thumrait and start your journey in early morning. it will amaze to every travelor because Thumarait to salala road is covered by heavy snow. In Thumrait, Thumrait Place hotel is the famous and cheapest hotel with tasty food and variety menu.

This specialty signature restaurant takes guests on a voyage along South East Asia's mighty river. Headed by speciality chefs, the seductively beautiful venue presents the flavourful cuisines of China, Thailand and Vietnam, all served against an opulent a
Great team and great restaurant. Exceptional because we were well looked after by the team : Yadanar, Thu, Wan. Specially Jiraphat, he recommends what good food I can have and at the end of our dinner he brought a traditional house washing for our hand. Thats so kind and so sweet from the team.
