Back in the 80s and 90s, Kosher Chinese was big. There was at least one, if not several Kosher Chinese restaurants in every major Jewish community. Today, other dining trends have supplanted Chinese cuisine in popularity. And many of the better Kosher Chinese establishments have shuttered their doors. Thankfully, the Chosen restaurants, anchored by the flagship location on Central Ave in the 5Towns remains, serving Kosher customers at a high level.Just about every dish on their menu is wonderfully prepared. The food always tastes fresh, and is served quickly (both dining in, or take-out). The Central Ave. location has a nice party room upstairs for up to 100 guests. Good selection of beef, chicken and veal on the menu. Also many excellent appetizers and soups.

We stopped at this food outlet en route home. The food was of a reasonably good standard. I paid for our meals in cash paying with a $50 note. The cashier bundled my change up in a ball and handed it to me. When I checked it I found it to be $10 short. On questioning the cashier her reply was we don't have any cash available. I told her that she had deliberately tried to deceive me and in effect steal my money. Her supervisor was present but was not in the least bit interested in becoming involved. Had it not been for a connecting flight I would have called for the police. How many travellers are caught out each day by this scam?

This place is awesome for many reasons. Lots of warm friendly service, generous portions at fair reasonable prices. Plenty of choices to suit all taste buds and trust me you'll have a great time. There's Japanese food, Chinese food, Polynesian-esque cuisine and old style Westernized Chinese food. It's delicious and you'll definitely walk out like you had a real valued meal. Not as authentic as you might find in Flushing, Queens but this restaurant fills in the void of fun Asian food well prepared and served up nicely. Many happy satisfied customers which makes this place quite a busy standout. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables.
I'm 25 years old and only lived in valley stream and this is by far the best Chinese place ever. The food is so authentic and delicious and the prices are very good too. Never had a problem with my order and never will!
This place is in the food court of the Green Acres Mall's main building. (The Green Acres Mall" is really a sprawling group of malls and "big box" stores.) I had the "2 Choice Combo" for $6.49: you get two entrees and either fried rice or lo mein.  I had fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and BBQ chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was ok.  Some pieces of chicken tasted better than others.  I liked the BBQ chicken better, although some pieces were a bit burnt. The rice had good flavor.
