Nearly everyone has tried a PF Changâs at one point or another; and has their own opinion of this famed international chain of upscale Chinese fare. As for myself, Iâve sampled various dishes from their ever changing menu in many locations from coast to coast, over the past 23 years. And Iâll say, I seriously canât remember a bad experience. Sure, some locations are better than others; but all have generally been very good. I still remember my first dinner, which was simply Kung Pao chicken with steamed rice: No soup, no egg rolls, no dessert. Mainly the reason was, though I felt the restaurant was modern and fancy for Chinese cuisine, I questioned the roughly $10.99 price for an entree alone, before I ordered. Keep in mind, in the mid 90s, one could have a whole bag of Chinese food delivered to your door, for about $7 or so. Of course I just went for it, and the rest is history. Iâve had some memorable Chinese dishes over that time; from Changâs spicy chicken, to oolong sea bass, to firecracker shrimp, to marinated strip steak, chengdu lamb, and many more. But thereâs something addictive to me in their take on Kung Pao dishes: And believe me, Iâve compared theirâs to a hundred others. Is it the most authentic recipe? Iâm not sure, but from what Iâve read, itâs close. Not sure if it even matters, as itâs just right to me. The Rancho Cucamonga location is quite busy, especially on the weekends. So, We made a reservation this time, as we got wedged into the bar stools last visit. Decor is standard PF, with dark wood, low lighting, and modern lines. Service here has been good each of our 7 visits, and was no different today. Our server kept the glasses full, and the food coming. Ordered of course, Kung Pao chicken; along with a large bowl of wonton soup. The soup was tasty, and the Kung Pao was excellent. Iâm a big fan of the way they leave the peppers in the dish, keeping the heat flowing. Little known fact: PF Changâs makes every item fresh from scratch; every day, in every restaurant: From each and every sauce, to dumplings, soups and desserts. Thatâs quite a feat for a chain with over 300 locations around the world. Overall, this is basically your typical Pf Changâs: bold fresh flavors, served in a clean, and modern hotspot(in this case another mall). If youâre looking for really tasty Chinese fare, regardless wether you believe it to be authentic, PF Changâs should be on your list....enjoy

China Republic has become our favorite Chinese restaurant. We were lured by their Dim Sum offering during lunch. Although its not as extensive as those at the perennial Dim Sum locations in the San Gabriel Valley, it had enough to suit everyone in our party. Our favorite is the Macau Roasted Pork Belly. Please take note, during dinner, only a limited Dim Sum menu is available. Our favorite non-dim sum dishes is the Peking Duck and Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce.

I met my sister-in-law here for lunch. The restaurant was packed, so we figured it would be good. In our minds, it was just "okay." The lunch menu had many combination lunches (e.g., with soup, egg roll). The meals were served plated, meaning, not family style. We thought the food was just okay. It wasn't really (temperature) hot.Lunch for the 2 of us was $30 - we didn't order anything extra (just 2 combination lunches).Would I go back? Yes, if it were on my way and I didn't know of another Asian restaurant close by.
