We returned from hols, jet lagged and too tired to cook - our usual Chinese Takeaway was shut on a Tuesday so we decided to give The Golden Horses a go and were not disappointed. It was delivered in the timeframe given to us (45 mins) and it arrived hot and exactly what we asked for. My only criticism is that the sweet n sour dish was slightly lacking in vegetables but can't complain about the portion size. Everything was very tasty and fresh. The crispy duck was lovely, nothing was greasy or overcooked.Would have no reservations to use them again for a takeaway or eat in the restaurant next time.

Had meals from here and they are excellent, ordered via just eat never had any problems, because itâs a proper restaurant the meals are superb.Always delivered early and piping hot, would recommend the takeaway service to anyone but never visited the restaurant which I can assume is excellent

As per my last review. This isnt the best chinese you will ever have but by no means the worst. The midweek banquet is good value. The food is prompt (if you want it to be), freshly cooked and hot. The drinks too are good value.Most importantly the customer service is spot on. We are hardly sat down and the waiter is reciting our drinks order from our last visit. Ate we thst predictable? Yes.Dont let first impressions put you off. Its a great little place.

Mr Hoâs has been established many many years now, and has produced consistently delicious food throughout. The restaurant is fairly basic inside, but is always clean and service is fast and efficient. The menu is large and really varied, and the food is presented well. This is always our go-to place for takeaway food too, and the new website ordering service is fabulous!

My wife and I visited the Beijing restaurant on our way to Liverpool Airport and were so glad that we made the small diversion from the direct route. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our table which was next to one set up for a birthday party of 9 or 10 and there were 3 other tables occupied which, at 6.30 pm on a Tuesday evening we took to be a good sign as we believed that we were the only ones who were not 'locals' and so it proved to be.We had deep-fried crispy lamb lettuce wrap and salt and pepper ribs which we shared and then my wife had chicken and seasonal veg whilst I had sliced roast duck with Chinese mushrooms and one portion of boiled rice between us was adequate. A bottle of Grenache/Merlot was our wine of choice which was excellent.The whole experience was a lovely way to start our holiday and as we were leaving we assured the gentleman who had taken such good care of us that we would return the next time that we fly from Liverpool; I would heartily recommend others to do likewise as you will not be disappointed.If we lived close by we would definitely become regulars

Anniversary meal with wife,been coming here since opening in 1989.As ever,the service and personal attention from Charlie and his good lady.was superb.Never had any reason to complain about any aspect of this place,as far as I am concerned it is a wonderful dining experience in every respect...great food and service,friendly helpful staff,nice ambience,and good value for money.Graham.Thank you so much for the fantastic review and for giving us the top rating.
