Our first time here at Allen's and must say we were impressed! We were visiting family in the area and they took us here. Service was fast and accurate, portions were very large and food quality was excellent, could not clear my plate due to the amount of food served. Rice with meal was perfect and prices very reasonable.

I live about an hour from this restaurant yet the food has always been so good that I make an effort to get there - either making a special trip there or rerouting a trip to be close by. I went yesterday and was soooo disappointed. It will be my last trip here. First of all, the menu has changed. They used to have a great Thai menu. Now they have 3 Thai dishes. So, I got the Red Curry Chicken with veggies and my partner got a Thai shrimp dish. Her dish was very bland and dry. Not very tasty. Mine had a nice sauce and great flavor but the veggies (and I'm not exaggerating) which consisted of about 1/4 of a green pepper and mounds of onions!!! Period! It was awful. I ate the chicken and green peppers and some of the onions but feared gastric ramifications eating any more than I did. I'm talking maybe 1.5 cups of onions, maybe more in this dish. It seems like this place is turning into a typical Chinese restaurant which is definitely not my taste. Too bad. This place was the best for miles around.

Went here with friends who have been here numerous times. You can get Sushi, Mini Thai, Sashimi, a taste of Japan, Asiana Special Rolls, regular rolls, soups, salads and noddles. They have an all you can eat Sushi for lunch and dinner. Quite a variety for sure. The service was good and the food was tasty and hot. One of our group had the all you can eat Sushi. There was a nice assortment to select from. My wife had Bang Bang shrimp which was very tasty. The portions are nice sized. Another person ordered Shrimp and vegetables which looked nice. I ordered General Tso's chichen which was mildly spicy and very good. It was too much to eat at one setting or plenty to share with others. We had a nice bottle of wine and enjoyed a fun evening. I don't often go to Powhatan to eat but this was a nice change. If you are in the area, give it a try. It is in a strip shopping center so there is plenty of parking. I am not a Sushi eater but this restaurant offers selections for everyone's tastes.

This restaurant seems to have turn over every six months. Each time, there is a change in menu and quality. We just had dinner from here tonight and were quite surprised by the increase in quality. We had Kung Pao Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, General Tso's Chicken and Shrimp Lo-Mein. The eggrolls were very good and the fried rice was very tasty. I would definitely come back and try more in the future.
