We found this place because we were looking for something on the west side of the bridge and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Small dining area with a bar. Many locals but Paul the owner makes you feel right at home. This is our favorite place to eat in west Baton Rouge and I would advise you to give this place a try. You won’t be let down

Trying to eat healthy can be a challenge, especially in the Port Allen area where everything is fried and gravy covered.I found this place by accident and I’m so happy I did. First off, it’s called Paul Wong’s and yes its Chinese but Chinese inn is not the name. The service was awesome. I was greeted immediately with a hello from the staff. Seated promptly and thanked for coming in.The lunch menu was ample and prices were very good. I was alone and chose the Moo Goo Gai pan which was served with fried rice. It was soooo good with lots of fresh veggies and tender tasty chicken. It’s very hard to find even when you are trying to follow a map. It’s in an old strip mall and doesn’t look that great from the outside. Don’t be confused by the building right on the street that says “Buffet” on it. It just to the rear left of that building.Inside it’s nice but nothing extraordinary. My overall experience was great so I will be back again and again.Find this place and try it. It’s one of those places you want to tell everyone you know about it so it stays in business for a long time. And by the way, how many places in the world actually care what you think and make sure you have a good experience. It feels good to spend my money where people appreciate it.
