It was founded in 1815 as Jacksonville. Pickerington was known as Jacksonville until 1827, when the citizens petitioned the state legislature to change the name to Pickerington in honor of its founder, Abraham Pickering. It is a suburb of Columbus. The population was 18,291 at the 2010 census. As land annexation, development, and immigration into the Columbus area continues, the city of Pickerington (like many area suburbs) has generally followed suit. Pickerington is also home to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame, located at 13515 Yarmouth Dr. off Interstate 70.

Picked up a carry-out order here when we were in the area. We had never been there before and unfamiliar with it or their food, but it was close and convenient.And little did we know - it would be the best Chinese food we've ever had! Service/carry out time was very quick 10-15 min. Restaurant is cute & quaint with a few nice tables. Plenty of parking for all.But the food was AWESOME! We ordered a variety of things including appetizers: Chicken Egg Rolls (loaded with chicken!), Crab Rangoon (delicious), Cashew Chicken with friend rice (LOTS of chicken, and loaded with FRESH crisp vegetables - peas, snow peas - mushrooms, squash or zucchini) and an additional Veggie Fried Rice (also loaded with fresh delicious & crisp veggies). Now, it wasn't just the freshness that we appreciated, I noticed a reviewer said they use no MSG. Maybe that was it -- but all of us felt that our meals didn't leave that lingering taste in your mouth after finishing the meal. Had some leftovers the next day and it was just as wonderful!Only two minor (very minor) things. First, they said they put Soy and Duck sauce in the bag (which they did) but it was only 2 pkgs. of each for 3 dinners - easy fix - ask for more. Also, the Cashew Chicken could have had more cashews, but then again - it was loaded with chicken so ... we weren't complaining!Seriously, if you're looking for a great Chinese place in the area - check this place out! It's definitely moved to #1 on our list! FABULOUS!

I can't even remember how long we have been patronizing this restaurant, but I hope it never goes out of business. This is the absolute best Chinese I have ever had. They were recently closed one Sunday so we were forced to try another Chinese place. I ordered exactly what I get from the Happy Wok & I could not eat it, it was so bad. The food from the Happy Wok is consistently good, always hot, & very reasonable priced. We highly recommend this Chinese restaurant in Pickerington!

A highly ranked restaurant for Pickerington in Trip Advisor. Maybe things changed with the name. After determining this was the correct restaurant we entered the sparely decorated storefront restaurant. Mainly booths on one side and loose tables on the other. All of the various dishes we ordered were tasty. But everything being served on paper plates with very cheap plastic utensils seemed out of place for an establishment that charged rates like you would have at nicer sit down restaurants. Our friends ordered soup with their meals. It came in a flat paper bowl and the only spoons were small shallow teaspoons. Not good. I won't be back.

Had the carry out. Excellent Asian choices and portion size gives you a second day. Prices are comparable to others but portion size is great Tofu fried was excellent. Mostly carryout but dine in is available.

Food is great...if it was average they'd get a 0/5 starsI really hope they get it together. They are really nice people. I want them to succeed!Typically not overly hot and screwed up. The language barrier of the 1 waitress might kill the place. They need another waiter/essLast two times, only half our dinners showed up then ten min later the rest. Maybe if you come in as a couple or smaller group, everything will be good.
