Reviews on Chinese food in Papamoa, North Island, New Zealand. Papamoa Beach is a suburb of Tauranga, located about 11 kilometres from the city centre. It is the largest residential suburb in Tauranga, having a population of 20,091 at the 2013 census. It is bordered to the west by Mount Maunganui (east of Sunrise Avenue and Hibiscus Avenue), the east by the Kaituna River (separating it from the Western Bay of Plenty District) and to the south by State Highway 2. Papamoa Beach has 16km of white sandy beach stretching from the boundary with Mount Maunganui in the west to the Kaituna River in the east. Widespread settlement of the area did not start until the early 1980s and prior to this Papamoa Beach had been largely a rural area. Once a small and tight knit community, many of Papamoa Beach's sweeping paddocks have been swallowed up by urban development. Papamoa Beach is currently one of the fastest growing suburbs of Tauranga, with many different subdivisions developing concurrently on different blocks of land on the fringes of the suburb.

After a few poor experiences earlier this year we decided to try again. I am so pleased that we did as our last two dining experiences have been splendid. The food was beautifully presented, freshly cooked, delicious and flavourisome. Customer service was faultless. My recommendation is for people, like us, that have had a prior negative experience, to revisit Canton Kitchen. There has been a marked improvement in the standard and quality of the dining experience.
So many choices for lunch or dinner, a bite on the run or a relaxing coffee or two. Papamoa Plaza Food Court is open daily from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm with offers to suit all tastes and a variety of seating options for all ages and groups large or small.
This food court is an amazing space, it has a toddlers play area, private eating booths or just open plan seating. There is alot of food on offer, from Pita pit, Mexican, burgers, Tank ,Sushi and some others. Its family friendly and affordable.Hi, thanks for your review of the Papamoa Plaza food court. We are happy to hear you had a great dining experience. We agree there are some great food options to choose from.

This was dinner out with my sonâs School Hockey Team during the annual AIMS Sports Tournament. The restaurant was absolutely jam packed. This did not affect the service we got as the staff were extremely accomodating finding extra seating for unexpected guests. The range of buffet food was incredible which an enormous range of food. With being so busy fresh food was flowing from the kitchen as fast as guests were serving themselves. For such a huge number of guests and selection of dishes, everything I got and ate was delicious and cooked extremely well. As you finished staff were quick to pick up empty plates enabling you to have another serving. All this for a very good price of $23 per person. What a great experience

The lemon chicken ($12). There was no chicken just very thin tiny pieces of some type of reconstituted sinewy stringy pressed chicken offal. There was no lemon flavour or any other flavour to the sauce, except a sugary sweetness. The place is absolutely filthy. Avoid it like the plague.
