We go there on Friday evenings and have never been disappointed. If it's ambiance you want, this is not the place. However, the food is well above average and the prices are reasonable. If you go there, maybe i'll see you next Friday.

This restaurant has recently opened in the area. We've been here twice now. The first time for sushi and Chinese, the second time sashimi and Chinese. Happy with the food both times. Service is excellent, the front of the restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. The sushi/sashimi counter is separate from the cooking area. He puts on a good show. Few small tables. Mostly take out. They have some different Chinese items that aren't on our usual places menu. I ordered the house special chop suey. Great vegetables, but the meats and seafood were on the blander side. Needed to "jazz" it up at home with soy and sarachi. The sashimi was beautiful! And very good. Probably won't replace our regular Chinese restaurant, but when we are in the mood for sushi/sashimi or something not on our regulars menu, this is where we'll be. Try it for yourself!
I came here for an early dinner. The sign outside says Seymour Garden for the place. As you walk in, they have 3 small tables to eat in as well as take out orders.I ordered steamed shrimp with broccoli, white rice, and brown sauce ($10.50).It ate in and the dish was ready in about 10 minutes. It came with 10 good sized shrimp and plenty of broccoli. The meal was tasty and filling. Friendly service.

I decided to stop by the China House on the way home from work. It is located in a building on Bank Street right around the corner from the Stop & Shop.As you walk in, there is a long narrow room with 6 tables for dining and a cooler with soft drinks before you reach the counter to place your order.I ordered the steamed shrimp and mixed vegetables ($10) and told them that I was going to eat in. About five minutes later, they brought out my order on a tray. The portions were a little smaller than what I have received in other area Chinese restaurants. There were about 6 or so medium sized shrimp along with a nice variety of vegetables. There was a small bowl of white rice and a container with a dipping sauce that had a good flavor to it, but not too salty (thanks). I am not a slow eater, but by the time I had finished the meal, the remaining vegetables were ice cold. I am thinking they were frozen and had not fully thawed and cooked when they spooned out the meal. While there, there was a steady stream of customers picking up their orders and the phone was constantly ringing. I am thinking that maybe I just had an off meal. Most of their offerings are in the $8 to $10 range. They take credit cards for orders over $10.phone number: 1-203-881-0184

Bought General Tso Chicken, honestly? Tasted more like hot wing sauce. And even with that, it tasted as if it came out of the jar. The chicken didn't look like real chicken, They were all uniform, like eating a meatball. Been to this restaurant many times, but this has to be the worse I've come home with in awhile. XXX

This take-out restaurant has been in operation for many decades. On premise family operated. Orders are filled accurately and efficiently. Food is good to excellent. Price is no bargain but reasonable. Their has been no change in quality or efficiency for a very long time. For take-out or a quick snack at the few tables, if you like American-Chinese you can do no better in this area.

I came here for an early dinner on my commute.I ordered the steamed shrimp with veggies ($11).I decided to eat in as they have plenty of booths. Only it was a hot day and the room was not air conditioned. It was ready in 5 minutes and was a very good meal that was filling.
