Things to do in Miranda
The service at the restaurant was good (I think they were the owners), they were friendly and the food sercice was prompt, but the food was pretty average. We had 2 mains singapore noodles and chicken & asian greens with fried noodles. Unfortunately both mains lacked flavour and the chicken and vegies were very oily. The bonus to this restaurant is they were open late for service on a Mon night, serving until 11pm

We are visiting the area and was picked up a new menu brochure. I called for a home delivery. The food was more expensive than what the item showed and I questioned the price which included a $3 delivery charge which was ok, however there was also a $3 credit card charge which is more than the normal surcharge fee. The food took just under an hour for a Monday night. The sweet & sour chicken and the beef chilli dishes were well cooked but nothing special. The biggest disapointment was the fried rice which looked like brown rice and tasted burnt. It was by far tge worst fried rice either of us have eaten. We would not use this place again. Very poor for a chinese restaurant.

This is my first time at DTF Miranda, though I have eaten at other DTF locations. I expect the same standards as the other venues, and that was what I got - quick service showing us to the table, food came within 5 minutes (thankfully so because the little one was getting hungry and restless), and the food was well cooked. We ordered to share soup dumplings (xiao long bao), vegetables & prawn dumplings, vegetarian fried rice, noodle soup with pork chop served separate, and stir fry broccoli and prawns. Can't fault the food.

Love the food and service here. Being a fusion of various Asian cuisines makes it so easy to find something special on the menu. I ate Japanese while my husband ate Thai. Simon was our server and was extremely knowledgeable and made the best recommendations. The portions are great and the prices are great value. Will definitely be going back again.

The Tradies Club at Gymea in the Sutherland Shire is a most accommodating club. There are several bar areas, including a terrific sports bar with comfortable lounges and numerous sporting channels on TV. The bistro had a very good menu and some variety in its daily specials. The service throughout the club was friendly and efficient. The club is very spacious and at no time did it feel closed in and crowded. I enjoyed visiting Tradies and would recommend it.

Stayed in the Shire for a family weekend. Decided we would like Chinese food for dinner. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. Service was great. Recommend trying the pancake with Mongolian lamb as an entree.
