Blue Fuji's food was phenomenal. We loved our food. Our only criticism was that the appetizers and entrees were brought at the same time. Service was very good; portions were large, and the atmosphere was very nice.Our dishes included mushroom soup, hot and sour soup, scallion pie, shrimp and vegetable tempura, shrimp and broccoli, spicy green beans and jasmine rice.

It is a hole in the wall kind of a place in downtown Medford. Came recommended to us as a great place to have Sichuan food. We are very used to eating Sichuan food in places like Sichuan Gourmet in Framingham and Billerica and also at Spice Pepper Garden in Acton.We found the food here to be average. What was really good:Hot and sour soup with minced shrimpChicken corn and egg drop soupLamb with napa cabbage and chili powderWhat was OK:Catfish fillet with red chillies in oil (very favorful, but very bland inspite of the red chillies)What was terrible:Pad ThaiThai iced tea(Yes, why would you order Thai dishes in a Chinese restaurant, but when kids love these, we had to)The waiters were helpful, but around 9pm, we found them eating their dinner on a table across from us. The restaurant closes at 930pm, so we found this to be very unprofessional. They interrupted up their dinner to come over to us to serve us water or to pick up the check. I found this to be very unprofessional. Hence the average rating.

For the 4th or 5th time now in over about 6 years, my extended family (at least 10 people each time) have met at Tiki Island and we always have a great time with really enjoyable food. This is a typical Boston area old school Chinese restaurant with better than average Tiki drinks and food. For our group of 10 (no kids) the total cost with 12 Tiki drinks came in at just under $300 with tip. A true value. We always go to Tiki Island when we are in the Medford area visiting family.
