Stopped of on the way across to Monterey for a spot of lunch. The portions are huge; seriously huge. I had a plate; rice, chicken and orange chicken. Good service.

It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. Excellent selection of hot, fresh food, lovely decor, excellent service, particularly a waiter named "Tai" (sp) who we had the last time we were there. Decent dessert selections too...the cream puffs are outstanding. Stay away from the Chinese shrimp...they aren't Chinese, they are absolutely loaded to chili flakes and powder and are hotter than the hubs of Hades. When I asked the staff why their shrimp didn't taste like any salt & pepper shrimp I've ever had anywhere else, I was told "We have a lot of Hispanic customers and they like it like this.". MMkay...but what about everyone else? Just saying.Otherwise, this is the much better of the two big Chinese Buffets here, and I recommend it.

We went to the restaurant at about 12:30 pm and the place was deserted on a Saturday. That was a bad omen. I ordered beef chow mein expecting beef noodles. Instead what came out of the kitchen was beef cooked with dry cracker-like sticks, the kind that might appeal to people not familiar with Chinese food, but horrible to anyone who had eaten real chow mein before. To add insult to infury, they also threw in celery leaves with the rest of the vegetables. On the other hand, the beef was OK, but it alone cannot salvage the whole dish. Besides, the dish was twice as expensive as what one would get in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We went at moo, on Saturday for lunch and the place was empty. The food was just ok. Our waitress was very nice and kept glasses full which was the best part of our experience. Food was not flavorful and did not taste very fresh.probably wont return .
