Ordered the set meal for 2 which was average. The chop suey rolls were greasy and the sweet and sour pork had a watery, cucumber taste from the cucumber slices in it. You don't put cucumber in sweet and sour. Also why is there no crispy duck on the menu? And why do none of the meals come with rice? (seems to be a Welsh thing this) in England all meals come with rice or chips!

Great takeaway in Menai Bridge which is open on a Monday evening unlike many others around here. We ordered two of the dishes, rice and they threw in some prawn crackers. We shared the rice and there was more than enough for the two of us. The two main dishes were very tasty - again we shared and there was enough for two hungry people. The server was friendly and helpful and the food was cooked quickly. We would definitely return if we are in the area again.

Visited on the off chance without booking - what a treat! We decided upon the Set Banquet C. The Hot & Sour soup was one of the tastiest Iâve ever had and the Steak in Satay Sauce was sublime. Generous portions, lovely Banana Fritters. Will definitely visit again.

Very happy to report that the food was fab and not at all gloopy. I was also greeted by a very Neolithic young man.

Ordered by phone and went for "House Special Starter, Chicken Chow Main and a Special Fried Rice. The starter was plentiful and of good quality and the mains were equally as good.We were pleasantly surprised as normally holiday type places are a total rip off and "orrible"Well done Talent and Highly recommended.Stan & Val(Staying at Home Farm Touring Section)

This used to be such a fantastic takeout! But recently on three occasions our food has been sloppy, obviously reheated and extremely salty!!! Chips reheated and soggy, salt and chilli chicken like pieces of rock and almost black in colour! Had king prawns last week and the batter was black on the outside but raw on the middle with the prawns tasteless and pre cooked!! Quite an achievement!! And on each occasion the order was wrong!! Drinks from the fridge warm. All just gone to pot!! Such a shame as had one of the best Chinese meals Iâve ever had! Wont be returning in a hurry!!
Well let me get the bad stuff out of the way first . To be honest when you look at the shop from the road you think oh thats a bit rough.compared to the indian restaurants near by.but please over come the thought of walking away and go inside and order as this is possibly one of the best chinese on the island.the curry isnt too hot and spicy i would say it is just about right for average pallets if you like to set your mouth on fire maybe try elsewhere.good choice of starters and meals their chow maine is to die for.not literally lol.but like i said get over the scruffy appearance of the shop and i think this might be a regular on your list of where to eat .it is on mine anyway.

Beef and mushroom, comes with a centimetre thick blob of grease like liquid on top of the food which could literally be poured off into the sink. Chips, dipped and reheated so much leaving them swimming in grease and rock hard. Prawn toast, I say prawn toast however there was absolutely no prawn in it and tasted like puréed chicken again swimming in grease! The whole lot chucked in the bin leaving me feeling absolutely robbed of my money!! Absolutely revolting!!

Today I visited probably one of the best Chinese TakeAways on the Isle of Anglesey. :) For £7 I had a very generous and well cooked and well presented, 'Lemon Honey Chicken & Egg Fried Rice!' :) This firm favourite of mine from The Phoenix, never fails to disappoint, and even though the rest of the Menu looked very tempting, I seem to always stick with this particular dish, as introduced to me by an old friend! :) I would highly recommend this dish and the rest of The Phoenix Menu today! Enjoy! :)
