I have been to Happy Hour at Red Lantern many times but this was my first dinner inside the restaurant. Very nice ambience and surprisingly quiet considering it is inside the casino which is quite busy. Our waiter was excellent, providing suggestions and several laughs for us. The potstickers were a favorite, and also the cashew chicken. This is a nice restaurant and a good place to bring guests, especially if they want to also do a little gambling when visiting.

Always looking to support independent local places, we gave LCR a try for takeout last evening. We were impressed with the friendliness and willingness of the staff, but ultimately it's the quality of the food that counts, and we were disappointed. We ordered chicken chow fun, walnut prawns and hot and sour soup. The chow fun was very bland, the prawns greasy and lacking flavor, and the hot and sour soup appropriately hot but otherwise flavorless. Even the fortune cookie was very stale, lol! As to value, we found LCR pricey for the mediocre quality. It's unlikely we'll go back.

Now under now owner/cook, this restaurant has become our favorite for Chinese food in Lincoln. They have some unique dishes which other don't have. Service is very good, portions are enough for two, the quality is top notch. If you are in the mood for Chinese food, I highly recommend Happy Garden.
What can you say about Panda Express? As far as fast food/take out it is one of the better chains. The food is fresh, the restaurant very clean, the service minimal but polite and the prices affordable. Though fresh, I still find Panda pretty greasy. They could benefit from using less cooking oil. Still, it is the go-to place for fast Asian food.
