New take out restaurant with a decent selection of American and Chinese food. Food prices were well beyond reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. Owner is friendly and willing to make sure everything is good. Will go back again soon.

They have 3/4 locations in and around Philadelphia area. The one on Lancaster is the best. I tried the Seafood in Birds Nest. It came in a too cute edible bowl. I loved the combination of all seafoods and some greens. Dumpling was good too. Nice and clean restaurant.
Went for dinnerKnew immediately something was wrong. Noodles were hard as a rock, not the usual homemade ones.food took 45 minutes and it was horrible. Sauces were flaverless and veggies raw.hardly any meat or seafood. No one asked my party of 4 how everything was.the next day I was told it was new ownership.call me silly but if I were a new ownerI would make a point to speak with the customers and get some feedback.instead she stood at the register looking out the window.so sad Lee & Rich had to sell this business.

Top 10 Italian food in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, United States
Looking for a change from my routine brown bag lunch, I called the Golden Place for a delivery order. When ordering, I gave the menu numbers as well as the name of the items, to ensure accuracy. My order consisted of S6 - Hot & Sour Soup, and CS12 - Chef's Suggestion 12, which was supposed to be Kung Pau Trio, described as "shrimp, beef and chicken with mushrooms, pea pods, water chestnuts, etc. in a spicy sczechwan sauce, topped with peanuts." Being very conscious of glycemic index foods, I searched the menu to find an entree that did not contain carrots or corn, both of which have a high glycemic index, not appropriate for dieting. When I opened my container, I found a few shreds of mushrooms, but the bulk of the meal was diced celery and carrots, with a handful of the mini-corns thrown in and very little shrimp, beef and chicken. It was exactly what I didn't want. Nowhere on the menu did it mention celery or carrots in this dish. Nowhere in the dish were there any pea pods or water chestnuts. It was topped with peanuts. Substitution of the cheaper celery and carrots is not acceptable. The menu was extremely misleading. To top things off, the hot and sour soup had very hard plastic like flakes throughout it. I assume they were red pepper, but much harder than any I have ever used. I spit a number of them out, thinking they were a foreign substance. I rate Golden Place a 1, for one and done.
