The food here is okay, but the prices are extremely expensive. This is a popular place where recreational anglers bring their catch to be cooked for dinner after returning from a day out at sea. however the restaurant charges extremely high to prepare your catch as compared to other Malaysian restaurants.

It is not easy to find this good restaurant after the Endau Bridge from Mersing. The useful landmark is to locate a Seven Eleven (7/11) shop along the main road Kuala Rompin first on the left, and turn directly into the opposite street facing 7/11. Fu Man Lou is buried within rows of vacant shops. After entering this street turn right to search for this restaurant. It is worth your efforts. Growing to be very popular with anglers returning to Singapore from Rompin fishing, home of Sailfishes. I was introduced to this family restaurant by my Rompin boatman. I fell in love with the shark head collagen and its soup. Collagen is good to lubricate for my knee cap. Before I was suffering from the pains of meniscus tear. In Singapore, I could not find similar quality. Roast suckling pig is a must for each visit, and costs about $90 each. Steamed fish is a great delicacy here. Innovative dish is rojak topped by crispy sliced squid. You can send your catch of the day for cooking in this restaurant for a fee. Each time I visit Rompin for fishing, I am excited to visit this restaurant for great quality food. Go for it !
