Been to Gem Light twice with my friend during our short holiday break to Lanka. Hikkaduwa as a town is very quite not as happening as Unawatuna. Found this place while strolling and searching for food. This restaurant is now run by Lalith and he confirmed that his place doesn't serve Pork or Beef and showed us his deep freezer to confirm as we were searching for restaurant which doesn't serve pork. As there are no halal restaurants in Hikkaduwa we considered his place because of No Pork No Beef policy. The food was yum and we spent around 2500 LKR for Devilled Prawns, Calamari fried rice, Rice and fish curry with 2 Ginger beers. And 2000 LKR for 750 gms of Crab with Rice and Curry. Which is indeed pocket friendly. This is a must visit place in Hikkaduwa

WOW!! After searching all up the coast line we found this place. We had the beef and seafood curry and it was literally the best we had out of 8 days. And the pina calada was soo good. Good prices and they take Visa. I would definitely come back.

We went to eat vegan burger and vegan rotti. The place is very normal and not fancy but the food was very nice.Prices also very good compared to quality. I recommend this place especially the mushroom burger and rotti vegan.Thank you for this heartfelt commentâ¤ï¸. We have visited Refresh for Dinner and ordered the prawn and mango curry as we read about it on TripAdvisor. I have to say that it was not great, it felt like somebody cooked some prawns in a jar of mango chutney. The prawns were fresh and plenty .We also had the sri Lankan curry and rice which was 1600 rupee (other places charge 750) and some of the curries were strange. One was a garlic curry and a sea spinach curry. The taste was ok but nothing special and I would not rush back.I think it was far to expensive for what it was in comparison.The staff was super friendly and attentive
