The concept for Zheng is simple. Combine the service and atmosphere of a local neighborhood bistro with food built around the ancient art of wok fired cuisine. With a commitment to using only farm fresh ingredients and a dedication to quality, Zheng has b
This restaurant is a little strange. Although the food and service were very good-- once we got seated-- when we arrived it was super busy and there was a line waiting. We just had to wait, because no one would take our name or give us an estimated time. We were basically invisible to all the staff. Apparently the waitstaff are supposed to seat new tables (maybe?), and they're too busy working to pay attention to all the waiting people. We were about to leave, but a local said it's always like that... they just move at their own (slow) pace, and that it would be fine. Even after a bunch of tables left all at once, we probably waited an extra 10 minutes for a table to be cleaned and set before we could all get seated. When I worked bussing tables back in the day, I would have had that done in a snap :) Once we sat down, the service was friendly and the food was pretty quick. Ask for the gluten free/vegan menus. That made ordering for us a lot easier. The main menu is pretty meat heavy, but the vegan one has a lot of options and makes it easy to see what's what. Four vegetarians, we all had something different and they were all fresh tasting and good. My favorite was the veg curry with coconut and tomato. Good wine and sake at decent prices. Located in the big shopping area to the west of town, near Target etc. The restaurant is in a little section designed to look like a main street. The atmosphere was good. It probably would be a five star rating if the customer experience on arrival was stepped up.Hey there, thanks for the review! I'm glad your experience was good. As you have bussed before you know how crazy the lunch/dinner rushes can get. We have hired bussers so hopefully the wait shouldn't be so long in the future!~ Hope to see you again.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner. The service was good and everybody was friendly. I ordered the House Special Shrimp and it was tasty. It was very lightly breaded and in a sweet & spicy sauce, served with lots of nicely steamed broccoli and rice.

There are very few meals that I encounter in a restaurant where I am unable to finish all of the food. Well, thereâs always a first time, right? I ordered the orange chicken; my wife the walnut shrimp. We asked for fried instead of steamed rice. It was delicious. Fast and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit when in town.

After a hike at Maroon Bells at dawn, I arrived back at Taipei Tokyo in Glenwood Springs a few minutes before eleven. The door was already open, so I headed inside and was greeted to take any table. Lunch buffet is not available at every Chinese restaurant: I was in the mood. The selection of hot foods, fresh from the kitchen, was excellent. Powerful flavors at appropriate levels of hot spice filled my mouth with excitement. I started with hot and sour soup, which was packed with components. Then, I dug into Szechwan clams; breaded shrimp; fish; General Tso chicken; beef with broccoli; Szechwan vegetables; firm, crisp spring rolls. Jalapeño peppers added heat to a few of the selections. I finished with a platter of Mandarin oranges. My waiters were prompt and helpful. The buffet cost around $12, plus tip. Not bad for outstanding food, fresh, crisp, and flavor-filled.
