Had a craving for authentic Oriental food and there is NOTHING worthy of trying in my immediate area so we took the 30 minute drive to Red Pepper. Weâve visited before and were never disappointed. The place is a little run down but as long as the food is good who cares ? We were greeted friendly and seated right away. We enjoyed the complimentary tea and noodles with dipping sauces. Our server (as well as the others we noticed) were very cordial. The menu here is extensive as can be expected at a place serving Asian cuisine. I donât like veggies so I try to order things with a lot of meat and noodles. Our party got won ton soup (delicious flavor), Kung Pao chicken, General Tso chicken and beef with vegetables. The meals also came with a TON of rice and Lo Mein. All were really tasty with just the right flavors. Meals came out really fast and HOT ! We also got the Spicy beef and Sweet\Sour chicken to go. They, too, were good. My only complaint was the Spicy beef had very little beef and a HUGE amount of onions/carrots/peppers. I was also disappointed that the online menu I found prior to arriving was quite different than the dinner menu at the restaurant. Online you could order the usual large or small portion. On the menu this was not an option. When all was said and done we had enough food for about 7 people (took a lot home) and I think the total bill was only about $63. I feel we got our monies worth. Portions were very large.cant wait to go back !
Have tried other Chinese places in the area but I always come back too cookery. I love there Singapore noodles! They put a good amount of shrimp, chicken and pork with just the right amount of spice. I prefer there chicken noodle soup over there won-ton as I find it a bit salty. I've also tried quite a few of the lunch specials. My favorites are the triple delight, sweet and sour chicken and pineapple chicken. I would recommend this place, also super fast delivery!

Back after moving out of town,4 years ago, to enjoy lunch at my "go to" Chinese restaurant for the previous 10 years in Williamsville, NY. Soup was good but cold. Had to have it placed into microwave. Sauce, shrimp, veggies, were tasteless. No amount of soy sauce or mustard could revive it. Service was just OK. My friend's lunch was fiery, a dish he has had before without complaint. "What's UP?"
The other day, my wife and I were on the university campus and were searching for something good to eat, but we didnât want to spend a lot of money. We chose to visit Young Chow. They have an extensive menu, but they also have the option of ordering off of the food line, old-school cafeteria style. In offering this, they allow for speedy lunch service. We ordered a combination plate, which allowed us the choice of one starch and two entrée selections. We chose noodles as our starch, beef and broccoli as one dish and sesame chicken as the other. We paid around $7.50 for this meal, and it was enough for both of us to share! We took our food outside and enjoyed the rare occurrence of a sunny day in Buffalo. Whether you are a solo diner or will be ordering for two, I highly recommend Young Chow, if you are going to be visiting the University at Buffalo.

Mandarin is an eat-in/take-out restaurant with ample parking and located on a busy strip. The place is clean an updated and the staff is very friendly and efficient. We had a Groupon, went there for a late lunch, and were not disappointment. Our server brought out crispy wonton strips and sweet/sour dipping sauce to start, which was fine. I chose a fried egg roll with my combo, and it was hot and cispy-chewy-delicious! The food orders came very quickly and were hot off the stove. I had the typical General Tso Chicken, which was better than average with smaller pieces of chicken, broccoli, and really good fried rice. The presentation was appealing and the flavor was great. My wife had Vermicelli with Shrimp, which was very tasty and also a decent portion size. The entire meal worked out to just over $20 plus tip. Overall this was better than average Chinese at a good price, in a convenient location, and with great service. We'll definitely return in the near future.
