Join us at David's Dumpling and Noodle Bar, a new restaurant at the corner of Hillsborough Street and Oberlin Road. This unique eatery is owned and operated by Chef David Mao, a successful restaurant owner and culinary innovator in Raleigh since 1976. Ove
Nine of us went here for lunch, and I'm wondering why I've never eaten here before! Everyone thought the food was all really good from the vegetarian mushroom dumplings to the Chinese standards (that were up to the standards of the Chinese members of the party) to David's half-fried dumplings (a specialty) to the fresh rolls (Imperial rolls) that I had.The ambience is much nicer and classier than I had expected, the menu is extensive, and the service was prompt and attentive.

We get takeout from here a lot ,and I eat here sometimes too. The food is always really good. The prices are good too. General' s chicken is great. I really like the egg rolls and spring rolls . Orange chicken and anything in garlic sauce is also good. If there are any vegetables you like it don't like they will add or remove them from your dish. When they are busy it is worth the wait to hear them call out who's order is ready by phone number and what the dish is. Service is fast and they have brown rice on the menu too. I like eating here.
I have been a customer for many years and never had a bad meal. They will accommodate for special orders to omit something in a dish that you don't like.My wife doesn't like mushrooms and they have no problem changing the dish. I get my orders to go but there is a small dining area that is perfect for a quick lunch if need be.
