Things to do in DeSoto
I used to order from here often while at work. Made an order of shrimp lo mein. The person taking my order repeated beef and I corrected her more than once and specified shrimp. I only eat chicken or shrimp no beef pork etc.. when my food was delivered it was an order of beef lo mein. I called back and explained that my order was wrong. I spoke to the same lady who took my order and she was VERY arrogant and rude. I told her she heard me wrong and I had corrected her because she kept saying beef. She began to argue and say I was wrong and what did I want her to do about it. I told her I just want my correct order. She rudely said fine you want your shrimp lo mein, it will be another 30-45 minutes and hanged up the phone before I could say anything. By the time my food was delivered my shift was over in an hour and I missed my lunch.. Delivery guy was very nice and unware of what had happened. NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN!
What a GREAT EXPERIENCE, and SUPER GOOD FOOD. I'd also like to state SUPERIOR SERVICE by a lady named Barbara. This lady was all smiles, offered taste samples, suggested entrees, was quick to tell about the entree in question, super helpful, and super friendly. It was apparent this employee enjoys her job, and enjoys interacting with her customers. The food line available was full, appealing to the eye, fresh and clean appearance. We got a nice welcome to Panda from Barbara when we walked in the door. Quick concise service, and a nice thank you for coming with a hope to see you again as we prepared to leave. This employee is clearly an asset to this restaurant. Thank you Panda in Dallas for an enjoyable dining experience! We will return in future travels to this restaurant!!

Before I even start, please look at our other reviews. We RARELY leave poor reviews at all, let alone one-stars.But I feel it's a moral imperative to report this restaurant as a public service.None of the other reviews are newer than a year old, and CLEARLY plenty has changed at this restaurant. It was absolutely disgusting. Mind you, we went in prime dinnertime hours, not as it was about to close or anything. The soy sauce bottles on the table had sticky fingerprints on them, everything we attempted to eat from the buffet has that weird, gross taste like everyone had blown their nose in it or something.Never mind that almost everything on the buffet was either shop-worn from sitting out too long or was empty. Their idea of "wonton soup" was a pot of light yellow broth with a couple of onions floating in it.But the coup de gras pf our miserable attempt at having dinner here was the days old, black, beyond-beef-jerky looking fossil of some kind of "beef" that was laying on the charred, carbonized "grill" that had obviously not been used for days...or cleaned for years. That's when I all but covered my mouth, practically ran to our table and hastily exhorted my entire family not to eat another bite. But the disgusted looks on their faces let me know they already had the memo."It's gross, Dad" my ten year old (who'll eat anything) said. I told them they didn't have to eat here, and all four of them simultaneously dropped their forks in relief and got up from the table immediately.I did something I almost NEVER do after that. I asked for the manager and calmly, quietly explained our experience and why we were leaving. He waited for me to finish and rang up the full amount with a smug expression on his face. When I asked if he was going to do anything about it, he simply repeated the total.$50 later plus tip (the waitress wasn't part of the problem, she was very sweet) I still had a hungry family.Fortunately we didn't eat enough of anything to get sick from it...but in all seriousness, I've eaten street food on six continents and this was as gross and suspect as it gets.AVOID AT ALL COSTS. ANY place in the area has got to be a better choice than this one.
Ordered Moo Shu Chicken and Crab Rangoons, which came right on time and still hot. The portions were extra large and I have enough for another meal or so. The rangoons are made with cream cheese, water chestnuts, and imitation crab and are so full the mixture was oozing out the top. The moo shu chicken came with 4 pancakes, hoison sauce and plum sauce, and was made with chicken, eggs, and cabbage all perfectly seasoned and like a song on your palate. Awesome!
The food is extremely good for take out. Workers there nothing but respectful towards you haven't had a single problem since I been here in Dallas for about two years and always go back due to my family members and friends requesting their food. All I can say is keep up the good work and also if you get $35 and over a free 2liter drink to help hit the spot.
We frequently order from them and find the food pretty consistent and reasonably priced.Mongolian Beef is our favorite!
