I eat Chinese food for the vegetables & this place hits the spot! Not only is the veggie prawn combo tasty & fresh, they also offer veggie side dishes. We paired our entree with a side of pea sprouts and were very satisfied with the meal. That being said, the portions were moderate, not enormous, and we were not happy with the potstickers, which were heavy pork, no cabbage or other mitigating veg. We'll be back.

We had a very nice dinner at the Hunan Bar and Restaurant. We were pleased to find that the Hunan is not limited to "American" Chinese dishes. In fact, there are two menus, with one menu containing the usual dishes found in a Chinese restaurant in the US and the other dedicated to a wide range of authentic dishes! We ordered four dishes and shared them family style. The Mapo Tofu was especially good. The service was attentive and prompt and the owner took the time to stop and say hello.

Have a lunch wity my friend in this small restaurant in downtown Davis. The noodles especially the soup are surprisingly good. The price is very reasonable too - it costs about 8.5 USD before tax for a choice served with either noodle or a bowl of rice. There are also a few starters including spring rolls. Credit card is acceptable for payment.

VERY OVER-RATED. Styrofoam boxes are very unappetizing for those "eating in." I'm sure they are fine for hungry college students taking their food to go.Another caveat: you don't really get a combination plate at lunch time. No soup or egg roll. $8 should get you those extras in a lunch special, included!I had the "Chili Garlic Pork" which had very tiny pieces of pork with mostly vegetables.Although the dish was supposed to be "hot & spicy" (marked with the hot pepper on menu), mine was rather weak in the chilis and hardly any garlic. They do give you lots of steamed rice. What do you expect in a freakin' Chevron gas station? It's A-OK, nothing more.Do not believe those over-inflated Yelp Reviews. This is NOT a 4.5 star restaurant. We have several places in Auburn & Granite Bay which are far superior and offer $6.25 combination plates lunch specials served on china plates with silver ware.

The gailan with oyster sauce was cooked just right and flavored with oyster sauce-very good. The house chow fun was tasty with char siu, scallops, squid and chicken. The honey walnut shrimp was good but not spectacular. Servings were generous but service was slow. The wait staff was seen eating and had to be hailed to get service with the restaurant not full.

Yes, we drive down from Citrus Heights to Davis just to get Dumplings. These are absolutely the real deal, large, plump and flavorful. We have been to China twice and have been bitterly disappointed since we got back and have not been able to find good dumplings. Our search is over.

This is a neighborhood restaurant in a shopping center, with a very pleasant interior, somewhat traditional Asian Fusion, with some 25+ comfortable booths and tables.I am gluten-intolerant, so I quizzed the waiter as to what dishes I could have without using batter. They are very accommodating and are willing to prepare the dishes without using batter. I ordered the sweet-and-sour pork, which they prepared without using batter.. It normally comes in a light batter and instead being âon the boneâ the pork was shredded and it was delicious. Served with pineapple chunks, crisp carrot strips, green peppers and onionsâ¦Terry had the fusion pasta [$11.50] which has large tubular noodles [pasta], served with celery, carrot strips, mushrooms, zucchini and shrimpâ¦.which was slightly spicy, and very tasty. Large portions, polite and attentive service, comfortable atmosphere and fair pricingâ¦overall a pleasant experience.
