Really enjoyed this place. Very clean, tidy and spacious with table cloths. No English spoken but they have a picture menu with English descriptions to allow you to choose your flavour of stock, and then each of the ingredients you want to add. A traditional 'hot pot' heated by coals. Waitress keeps topping it up as the liquid evaporates.Situated just east of the Bell Tower and a few strides from the excellent Garden hotel where we stayed. Staff we lovely, a little bemused at us westerners, and as helpful as they could be.

I had my 3d2n stay in this hotel. Never got the chance to go to the swimming pool as i spent much of my time exploring kuching. The hotel is rather old, but still nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The spread of the breakfast is ok. But for some, maybe inadequate. You can walk to the waterfront from this hotel but it is going to be sweaty because for me it is not as near as some people claimed it to be. Thank you grand continental kuching for the warm hospitality.

After touring the Shanua Temple and walking the Wall, we stopped in this attractive restaurant and enjoyed our lunch. The Kung Pao Chicken and the Fried Eggplant were delicious, not spicy and were actually delivered to our table by a funny robot! That was a first for us! There was an English menu with prices and pictures. The bill was very reasonable and the service was friendly. We enjoyed it.

We had dinner here on the 20th December 2014. Didn't know whether to trust chinese food for taste after visiting beijing. Man were we wrong. All the food we ordered are full flavour and the portion is not GIANT portion like in Beijing. Love it...

Although the atmosphere lacks ambience due to a large space and white table clothes, the staff and food is lovely. We had 3 dishes (vegetarian) for 56Â¥, so reasonably priced and good sizes. Staff were attentive, always filling up our hot water (-10 outside) and helpful as well tried to order with no Chinese, and them no English. Menu had English on it. Menu was extensive and had a great selection.Oppossite the train station the name is stamped large and clearly on the outside of the building. It's name is actually Tonghe Dafandian Restaurant.

Be warned, the name posted is not Fenglin Ge. Name looks like âPhoenix â but is not. Got here at 630 , was given a ticket saying time 7:30. I got back early and was seated about 7:15. It is an impressive decor. Some very elaborate features. Menu is in English with photos, which is good because the staff does not speak English. Service was efficient. Food was good, enjoyed some dishes more than others. They have a huge menu, so many options. Very reasonably priced. I had 6 dishes and alcohol for only $25. Almost all Chinese , so I assume they think itâs good. I donât think you can go wrong.
