Great location, friendly and tasteful ambience with delicious affordable food and drinks. Come and experience local hospitality.
It was winter of 2016 when we went to Darjeeling Trip. We wanted to taste authentic momos and what could be the best place other than darjeeling for it?We did a google search and came across Chopstix Restaurant. Situated just in the main Old Supermarket. You can get yourself to the Motor Stand and can see this restaurant. It might get hidden as all structures around there look similar. It is estd somewhere in 1950s.We went to first floor and since we were strict veggies and it was early morning - we ordered some Veg Steam Momo and Veg Momo Chilly along with Manchow soup.Taste wise : 100% pure Chinese And cost wise it was damn cheap. They charged some 80/- per plate and total bill cost was around 350/-This is our MUST GO place when we come again to Darjeeling.Staff was courteous and the owner was great. He made us really feel good.4/5 Stars for this great restaurant.

The cafe has become quite a popular hangout amongst my friends. And why not? A homely place with a decent menu and a killer view. Speaking of menu, you have to try the brownie with ice cream!Could be better with wifi. But hey, not much of a problem for the hermit souls.Thank you

The Elgin is the oldest heritage hotel in Darjeeling, built in 1887, the hotel has an afternoon tea lounge and an outdoor garden gazebo serving a selection of fresh leaf Darjeeling teas & an entire afternoon tea menu, while drinks and cocktails are also s
We went to the Elgin for afternoon tea and were lucky enough to also book a seat for the Gala Xmas dinner. The afternoon tea was great, darjeeling second flush (of course) sandwiches and several types of pakora gave an Indian twist to the usual savoury fair. Then two types of cake, two types of biscuits and a scone with butter and jam. All the cakes and biscuits were home made and were delightful. The service was also fantastic and the surroundings beautiful, warm and cosy. The gala dinner started with a bonfire and cocktails with some local folk dancing, which was great. We met lots of really nice people some local and some visitors but all so friendly and welcoming, this really made the evening for us. The dinner was a continental buffet which was really well done, lots of choice as well as Christmas crackers and party hats !!! Followed by brandy flamed Christmas pudding and brandy sauce - again really nicely done. The dinner was accompanied by carols played on the piano and also by a children's band playing and singing - they were a great accompaniment to a really memorable Christmas Eve away from family and home !! Dear Sir !Namaskar!Thank you for your detailed feedback and appreciation of the property and the afternoon tea service, we are also happy about your positive experience with us in The Orchid Dining Room for the Christmas gala dinner and musical evening . Your words of praise will go a long way in encouraging us all to keep up the good work so we can continue to exceed your expectations . We do hope you will return again and give us the opportunity to serve you again .Warm regards,Mr Badal Majumdar,General Manager,The Elgin , Darjeeling Tel- +91-354-2257226/2257227Front Desk Mobile - +91- 8420199177Central Reservations- +91-33-40646300/301/22269878

Cinnamon is a multi cuisine restaurant, house on the ground floor of hotel Fairmont. Centrally located on Gandhi road, it serves the best Chinese and Indian food. Cinnamon supports its emerging local artist by providing a platform to display their work.
We ate dinner here, following Trip Advisor recommendations, and were not disappointed. Our meal comprised both meat and vegetarian choices and was delicious and reasonably priced.
