We call up and place our order we understanding that it was China city when my my other half when to collect or order only to find that China city don't exist here anymore the place is under new ownership with the name peking inn. We felt rob of our rights to decide whether or not we did want to eat from the new establishment or not. Never again Sorry to hear that. The previous owner of this chinese takeaway still works here as a chef and kitchen member. It is true that it is now under new ownership and they decided to change the name of the shop when they bought it. We decided to keep the China City telephone because some old customers still use that number but mainly we promote as Peking Inn. We hope the food was okay. Thank you for your review

I have tried many chinese takeaways in clacton mostly pretty awful, tried this one last week and was impressed my prawn balls were lovely and soft and freshly deep fried others are usually rock hard, spring onion rice was nice hubbys and sons food was all good, we had no complaints yipee that makes a change.all tastes good , seems like good quality and I will be going back , wish I had known before now that they were good

Yi Hua:It's weird because the smell of Chinese food has made me feel quite sick for a number of months now, and we never know when it's going to hit or what causes it. It's been a bit hit & miss when we've ordered it as our Take-Away treat - a game to see IF I'll be able to eat it before the smell gets to me! Unfortunately we had a bad experience with our other Chinese Take-Away some time ago, where 2 of the tubs were only half filled with food, so we swapped back again to 'Yi Hua', where we have decided to definitely STAY FOR GOOD! IT's definitely the BEST Chinese take-away in Clacton.So, We hadn't had a take-away meal in almost a year because my Daughter has been training hard for the Army, and when the time had come for us to finally take her for her 4 month Basic Training, we came home and literally collapsed from the long 5hr drive! My Son got in from work and said that he would treat us to a Chinese, so we couldn't say No, could we.We don't go mad and are quite boring with our selection really - we enjoy the same dish because we know it's what we all enjoy. We would just worry that if we chose something else, that it would make me feel ill and then it's all wasted isn't it. So we stick to our egg fried rice, sweet & sour chicken balls, sweet & sour chicken Cantonese style, chicken chow mein and some chips. It doesn't break the bank and is more than enough for 4 people - so we got a little extra as there's only 3 of us now - costing about £23.00 and you get a free bag of prawn crackers too. I will say though that if you are one of the first to order as soon as they open at 5pm - then you are guaranteed to get disgusting chips that have been cooked over and over again. I don't know if they have been left in there overnight or what, but they have definitely been re-cooked to the point of no return - a bit cold and dry!! We have since learnt that if you order an hour later - then the chips are gorgeous - hot and crunchy!! The girl on the phone taking the order is always polite and friendly.The delivery service is excellent, free after £10.00 and within a 4 mile radius - and you never wait too long. Ordered a lunchtime takeaway, waited a while for my order, but the wait was worthwhile as it was freshly cooked, free home deliveries are offered for evenings, prices are on par with similar takeaways, and the menu is vast with something for everyone, this restuarant is badly in need of a refurb as it is very antiquated. .

We visited clacton for a long weekend and decided to order after watching football. They arrived within 20 mins (valley farm). The food was piping hot. Tasty and spicy. Large portions for the price too. Wish we had a Chinese like this where I live.

First visit to this Chinese restaurant after friends recommended it. Itâs only a small place, however nice decor and our server Abbie was really good (making recommendations and correcting my dodgy pronunciation of the Ashi lager ).We enjoyed the Mixed Starters to share, followed by a small section of mains and noodles etc..... All very nice!All in all a great first visit and weâd definitely return due to the food and service.Thanks Abbie....
