We lunched here on Monday 5th March 2018.We have been somewhat spoiled by, for some years, having access to the Chinese Restaurants in Benidorm and their extraordinary value for money. Benicarlo is not Benidorm.The restaurant looks small from the street, but goes back a long way, with probably more than 60 covers. As always we like to chose the "Menu of the Day" as we find that these are usually the best value. There were only a few diners when we went, so service was quick - but no plate of Prawn Crackers that we're used to, and no table top dish heater either.For the first course we had a pancake roll and Wong Tong soup (my wife and I always share dishes). The Pancake roll was not as nice as the soup. For the mains we had Chicken with Almonds and Lemon Chicken -the Lemon Chicken being the better. The sides were Noodles and fried rice. However the portions were small and not overly tasty. Deserts were ice cream and flan - both poor quality. These 6.95 euro meals came with a choice of drink, we had a can of beer and a glass of white wine.I know it's not Restaurant Pekin's fault, but we're used to leaving Chinese restaurants feeling full. We didn't here.Overall we felt that they didn't like serving the Menu of the Day.

En mi paso por Benicarlo, nos pareció la idea de cenar chino. 9.95 eur con bebida a parte un viernes noche.Se trataba de un buffet libre chino, como los que hay a montones de lugares, y este hace años que esta afincado aquÃ. De ahi, que nos convenciera para cenar.El buffet esta "bastante" entre comillas bien, a elegir entre mas de 60 bandejas, y dificil que cenar (primer punto negativo).Al final lo tradicional, si fritos gambas i navajas. La calidad de ello muy buena (punto positivo) las cantidades por bandeja justas para que no se hagan viejas y se estropee la comida (punto positivo) pero al final mas d elo mismo.A mi parecer la comida hecha a la plancha la encontré salada aunque mi pareja no le pareció (asi que punto neutro)Postres...tipico helado de vasito, justo seria decir demasiado. (punto negativo)A pesar de ser una veitena de personas cenado tenia el aspecto de ir poca gente. (opinion)El servicio, mmm haber, pues era un matrimonio chino muy amable aunque de pocas palabras, el cocinero d ela plancha y un extra (punto positivo) aunque los niños correteando por la cocina en fin...no opino.Limpieza...pues estaba muy ordenado y tal con su tipica decoración china pero todo muy grasoso sin brillo los azulejos e una imagen "dejada"...por el wc mejor no comento, los chorretones de cal incustradas eran tamaño de estalatita..(punto negativo)

this chinese restaurant was disappointing. No draught beer either. Would not go again. sorry. The meat was not as tender as most others we have enjoyed.
