Very cheap meals made with cheap ingredients. Sour soup for 2 Euros... but made (from the taste and texture) some spoonfuls of commercial sweet and sour sauce with water and then thickened with cornflour.... The Noodles with vegetables were instant noodles (the spongey kind) with a few ( and I mean about 6 in a serve) slivers of carrot and a few more...maybe 12 been sprouts stirs through them. The chicken was previously battered and fried and keep lukewarm prior to serving... Not the best choice we could have made but at least it was not expensive.

Your part of asia right in the "Mainauenpark" shopping mall (first floor), with the longes chinese buffet in Bayreuth and live cooking!
We had a lovely meal here. My 13 year old is obsessed with crispy duck and they promised they did it. But it didn't come cremated with pancakes like it does in the uk. It was actually nicer, sliced with the fatty skin crispy and the meat tender. The veg in the other meals were crunchy and the sauce wasn't so gloopy as we get at home. The waitress was absolutely lovely and we grappled with the language barrier successfully. The decor is exuberantly chinese. Only criticism, it smelt faintly damp in the restaurant.

We have been here in our lunch break. The menue has many choices. I had the 501. Big portion. It was tasty. My collegue who had Vietnamese cuisine in Vietnam before was missing a little bit of spice. (They cook a bit conservatively to not make the German tounge catch fire) so if you prefer the food a bit more in its original way then ask right when you order that you want the real deal/full spicy. Can recommend it though.

We had been in Bayreuth for some shopping in the bike shop below the restaurant, and as it took as longer than expected, we ended up quite hungry in the "Gourmet Temple". Well, the food was actually ok, the prices for the buffet too. But the next few hours and the next day was horrible, as we both had digestion problems. I guess some of the sushi or the fish hadn't been fine or something. All in all, I had way better Chinese food in other restaurants...

Service was good and prices were reasonable, but the food was only average. The buffet had afairly limited selection of items.
