We have used this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never been let down with the quality of the food. The atmosphere is friendly and service is quick. Which ever side we use, sea food , or curry the food is brilliant and at a reasonable price. Right on the edge of the beach great view and great food , you have to give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Makan Kitchen - All- day dining restaurant overlooking the pool with live, interactive stations showcasing the diversity of Malaysian delicacies â Malay, Chinese, Indian and other local specialties. Private dining options available for families and groups
Very limited menu to start with, staffs that dont know what they were serving, not at all anticipative of guest needs. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food. Bad experience. The management clearly has to fix the problem. Never returning!

This hawkers center, next to the Long Beach hawkers center was nearly empty on the evening we visited for enjoying fresh fruit juice. Some stalls were shuttered with clear symptoms that they would never open again. At the same time the Long Beach hawkers did booming business with 70 % of the tables occupied. Small wonder that I reflected while drinking my juice, how long "I Love You" would keep afloat.

1.Super slow service. Ordered the food and waited almost 1 hour before the food arrived.2.Food quality is worst than any other place. Too salty chicken (dry chili chicken), tasteless garlic prawns, and the poor taste claypot bean curd.3.Price of the food. The menu card might be an outdated one or they simply charge according to their Preferences. The portion are too tiny as well. Can't imagine we paid almost RM 120 for these kind of food.4.The environment, which is super hot, they had a few standing fans for those eating inside the restaurant, but those sitted outside are sweating the hell out while eating.Overall, the cafe is just overrated and too pricey for the food and bad service.Really don't get it... How the heck this place got 4 star rating.. Definitely not by Malaysian..

The Chinese cooking is blended with local style and is unique in Malaysia. Localised casual Chinese food. The service is fast. The food such as the sambal chicken, steam fish and fried Kai lan are good. The price is reasonable for Batu Ferringhi area. Many westerners also patronise this restaurant which is housed in simple tin roof with open concept.

We regularly holiday in Batu Ferringhi and always dine at the Boatman Restaurant. The restaurant is set off the main road and is easily missed. Walk along the concrete driveway to a no-frills dining room where delicious and authentic nyonya and Chinese food is served. We cannot go past their Curry Kapitan Chicken and Beef Rendang. Also the fried Ma-Mee noodles are delicious. If you like tofu their Japanese braised tofu is really good. Everything is yummy.Servings are on the smallish side, so order extra. The staff are friendly and efficient and helpful, and it their toilets are super clean; probably the cleanest in Penang.Enjoy
