Reviews on Chinese food in Battle Creek, Michigan, United States. Known as "Cereal City," Battle Creek, Michigan is home to both the Kellogg and Post corporations. These two companies have left their mark on the city, building both office buildings and local attractions. The Leila Arboretum, part of Battle Creek's 7,000 acres of parkland, was created by the widow of CW Post, founder of Post Cereals. Post himself had been inspired to go into the cereal business after a visit to the now-historic Battle Creek Sanitarium, which was then run by John Kellogg.
Things to do in Battle Creek
Has a variety of choices and a good salad bar, but would like to see more condiment choices i.e. bacon bits, sunflower seeds, beets. I like the crab salad and cole slaw very much, and they replenish the food hot and fresh often. Nice clean atmosphere and the patrons are very pleasant. Adequate walking distance from hotels, but may have to walk across the highway depending on where you stay.

Not a very fancyplace - but always busy with lunch time business - carryout and dine in. Manyitems ont hemenu are good but the best is the "house soup bowl" - filled with noodles, shrimp, chicken, pork and vegetables - enough to eat half and take home the rest!
Where to eat Pub food in Battle Creek: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Pretty good little Chinese restaurant with dinner combos that were quite reasonable (about 7 something each). The kung pao and cashew chicken were pretty good, but the orange chicken was a different caliber and was delicious. We would visit here again.
Where to eat American food in Battle Creek: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Felt like to try another Chinese buffet while in Battle Creek. This one is smaller than the other two we have eaten at but was much less crowded at lunchtime. It was very neat and clean with an extremely friendly waitress, which I find uncommon in Chinese restaurants. There was a decent variety of offerings including an excellent orange chicken. The egg rolls, crab ragoon and burbon chicken were all very good as was the egg foo yung which I haven't seen on other Chinese buffets. They did not have Gen. Tao's chicken which is a favorite of mine but the orange chicken more than made up for it. The food was much better than a lot Chinese buffets we have tried. The selection was not as large but the quality was very good

Large variety of foods. The place was semi busy so things seemed fresh. All the typical items plus unique ones. CRAW-FISH, FROG LEGS, ribs, chicken, fish, salads, small dessert pieces, macaroni and cheese, Ice cream and Popsicles for the kids. The staff was ok but you are on your on at buffet.

We took my grandson here to celebrate his 21st birthday and couldn't have chosen a better place. He wanted "all you can eat crablegs" ... and they were perfectly prepared. Everything else was excellent too....everyone enjoyed the buffet. Their crab rangoon is some of the best I've ever eaten. Service was perfect .. he kept our drinks filled, took away the empty plates and asked if he could help several times. Only problem is that we're about 45 minutes away... but...we'll definitely go back as often as possible.
