I ordered the Chef's Special for 2 over the phone. My order was ready in 10mins. Even when I changed the prawn crackers to chips, I still got the prawn crackers when I picked up our order free of charge. Great staff, great service & lovely food! I will definitely be ordering from them again.

We had heard great things about Howah. They were right !! Easily the best Chinese Takeaway that I've ever enjoyed. Cooked fresh in the highly visible kitchen. Huge menu choice--best to decide before you visit. Cash only-no cards, could catch you out.

I go to the Basing Chinese takeaway fairly regularly. The food is always very quick (even at the weekend when they are very busy). Have never had a bad meal from there. They even save newspapers for me when I go in to light my fire. Lovely family. Highly recommended
Spur of the moment decision for Chinese usually order elsewhere but can only order via phone. These you can order online and was best spur of the moment decision. Food was really gorgeous and not oily at all which so many chinese's are these days. Order came really quickly too thought that might be because it was a monday night. Egg fried rice actually has some flavour in it too most just taste bland these days. Totally recommend these guys.

Used to eat here and order takeaways regularly. Appears to be under new management now and I understand they had a fire in the kitchen but they were taking orders for takeaways again. We made the mistake of ordering a takeaway. Utter disaster. I would avoid this until they have their full kitchen and the original chef back. The menu has stayed the same as before but the food is no where near how it used to be. It seems as though the food is being cooked in another place next door and brought to the restaurant on foot! I saw this with my own eyes when I was leaving. When we placed the order we were told the noodles with bean sprouts (plain chow mein) were not as âsmokeyâ as before and so would charge £2 less. If I was honest I should have asked for a 100% refund of the whole meal as it was quite possibly one of the worst Chinese meals Iâve eaten- anywhere. The noodles were kind of dry and strange- like they were old. The salt and pepper prawns were totally bland. The chicken and sweetcorn soup gloopy and bland. The quarter duck came already chopped up into tiny pieces dry and inedible. It basically ended up in the bin. £66 wasted. Such as shame as this used to be a fantastic restaurant.

An excellent chinese restaurant with a buffet of sorts which was policed with discipline - so no wasted food. The menu had additional starters that we paid extra for so beware that you understand the "menu small print" The drinks and food were of high quality and met our needs and easliy felt "stuffed" very quickly. For a Sunday lunch it was quiet. Very happy to go back as this was a good experience. I recommend the Tang Chinese Restaurant in Basingstoke. A good environment and good loos!
