Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Barna. Bearna (anglicized as Barna) is a coastal village in Connemara, west of Galway city in County Galway, Ireland, on the R336 regional road. Once a satellite of Galway city, the village is now rapidly becoming one of its suburbs. Officially, the village is regarded as Irish speaking and is therefore a constituent part of the regions of Ireland that make up the Gaeltacht. However, because of its absorption into the city, it has recently become a mainly English speaking village. Nonetheless, Irish is still the main language of its western and northern hinterland and the village has now effectively become the gateway to the largest Irish speaking region in the country
Things to do in Barna
We have used Amber take-away in Barna several times and have always found them satisfactory. The only complaint that I could make is that the food is never ready at the stated time; one must expect a short delay of between five and fifteen minutes. On our most recent visit, my wife ordered Crispy Wontons and I ordered Salt and Chilli Spare Ribs as starters. Both were excellent. For our mains we ordered (for my wife) Crispy Duck with Orange Sauce and Beef with Black Bean sauce (for me). The beef was tender, mildly hot and very tasty. My wife said that her duck was delicious. Each main came with boiled rice and we also received complimentary Rice Cracked and Curry Trigon. These complimentary add-ons are a factor of the amount spent. There was an eight minute delay before we got our meal. The price, â¬31.00, was extremely reasonable for the meal, and we will definitely return.

This past July, we were 2 Texans on our honeymoon in Ireland. Wanting to get away from the very crowded main street with all the restaurants, we walked all around the city searching for a delightful meal. It's easy to ignore restaurants that don't have the quaint outdoor seating but I sure am glad we did. My husband found great reviews for this place and led us to a doorway with a staircase going straight upstairs. I wasn't all that stoked about it for some reason but I was hungry so it was fine. The second we turned from the top of the stairs I noticed how cute this little restaurant is and how the locals obviously liked it here. It didn't seem like a tourist hot spot at all. We were lucky enough to get a table as a 2-top had just left. The waiter and the host/owner(I think) were very kind and hospitable. They genuinely seemed to enjoy their work and be proud of their offering. My husband ordered the pad thai and I ordered a crispy chicken pineapple something or other. OH MY GOSH it was soooo good. I was blown away. The plate of food was huge and I ate every last bit. These guys are the real deal. Come here if you like Chinese food and you will not be disappointed! :) No joke, I will remember this meal for years to come.

Squid starter and Vietnamese prawns to follow, best food I have tasted by far.. Three of us had different dishes but we were all very impressed. The service is spot on and the price is very reasonable. Place was non stop busy, so very popular. Lots of awards on the wall outside this place attributed to its food.If ever i was to return to Galway, I would most certainly eat here again and sample more of their delicious food.
