This unfortunately is only a take-away restaurant, because if they were a traditional restaurant we would go here more often as the food is excellent. They do the normal Prawn, Chicken, beef and pork dishes and also Roast Duck, Squid and European dishes. A word of warning though - they do do a lot of dishes with chillies included so if you don't like your food too hot you need to ask them not to put chillies in when ordering. Prices are in the £6.00 - £7.00 range for most dishes, but some of the European steak dishes are £8.60 - £9.60. Order 2 main meals and they give you a free bag of prawn crackers. They do set meals for 1 - 4 people as well. Delivery is £1.50 within 3 miles but as we live further away than this we just phone our order in and it's ready when we get there. Highly recommended.

Ordered a chicken chow mein it was ready in about 2minutes of ordering when I opened it was devoid of any vegetables just chicken and noodles very bland .Should of left before ordering as the place smelt of fryer oil that definitely should of been changed not be back.

Booked in for a family meal for 6 people. Shown to a table promptly but had to wait a few minutes for our drink order to be taken. Ordered food and sat for an hour. Eventually left without eating. Bad enough having to wait so long but when other people who arrived later were served first it is completely unacceptable. Wonât be back in a hurry and we used to love this place...Simply atrocious!

Ordered a sweet and sour chicken and chips as normal and asked for curry sauce with the meal instead of sweet and sour and 2x chicken suppers. Arrives 55mins later and surprise, No chips with the sweet and sour chicken!!! Ring them to explain that the meal came with no chips..."We don't serve chips with the meal you have to request them separate". Haven't used this Chinese in 1year and a half and wasn't told when I was ordering that this is what the do (& they probably charge you more), so I explained I have children sitting with no meal basically, oh well you will have to re order and pay for delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Stick it we are done with this restaurant and carry out for good, came back a few times as every other you would have got a decent meal now and again. But I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!!! And I've now just ordered from the Bawwan as I gave the kids my birthday dinner treat! Awful!!!

As a person who is not a fan of Chinese food, my 4 out of 5 stars may be a bit of a harsh score. We ordered from the set menu (£19.50 for 2 which included starters and 2 mains & 2 portions of rice), which is usually uninspiring, but the fact that there were duck spring rolls as a starter shows you this set menu is very different.The food was not the usual grease fest that I am used to, but really tasty and freshly cooked. Usually spring rolls are greasy flaky pastry wrapped in very little filling, but the duck spring rolls had plenty of filling with gorgeous flaky pastry. The prawn toast actually tasted of prawn and the two main dishes (Malaysian beef and salted chilli chicken) were really good. There was also enough food in our £19.50 deal for 2 portions of lunch the next day.I would definitely eat here again and would certainly recommend the restaurant to anyone, whether you like Chinese or not.

The food was great (as it has been on every occasion I have been there). Topan chicken and salted chilli chicken are delicious! Slightly overpriced at £18.50 per person as the portions do get a lot smaller with each order. The place needs a major revamp though. Very dated decor and it makes the place look grotty. This isnât helped by the fact it is freezing...what sort of restaurant doesnât have heating? You also STINK of food after leaving, so better to be heading straight home after. Probably best getting a takeaway from here rather than sitting in.
