Reviews on Chinese food in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei-Muara District, Brunei Darussalam. Bandar Seri Begawan is a city of two terrains: the stilted water villages that make up some of the city's historic aquatic districts stretch out into the sea, while drier districts spread out over the flatter areas of land. The beaches around the area offer vibrant undersea life, drawing scuba enthusiasts and snorkelers from around the world. Above ground the gold-domed Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque dazzles with its intricate marble design and museums provide ample cultural stimulation.

I have tried the steamed chicken rice in Thien Thien (Gadong and Kiulap outlets) and must say that this is just as good, if not better.Rumour has it that the cook from Piring Emas was ex-Thien Thien. So don't be surprised if the presentation etc is somewhat similar. The chicken at Piring Emas taste smoother and juicier than Thien Thien, despite me ordering chicken breast. The rice though was not up to Thien Thien's standards. The complimentary soup definitely hit the spot and the chili sauce was good. Portions were generous and if you're feeling really hungry, go ahead and order a quarter chicken serving.Oh, quick tip...the take-away pack is definitely bigger than what you get dining in. Don't ask me why, but just by looking at the pack...you kinda get that impression.

It used to be our favorite restaurant. Everyone we had family functions we always go there but not now. We found the food is bit salty. The food actually is good but just too salty for us. One of their signature dish is Fishhead Curry. There is salty veggie inside no wonder!

A popular outlet among locals for a good meal especially tea break. famous for its snacks (deep fried prawn fritters) and the rojaks. Many other asian & local dishes. Reasonable priced. Only concern is the longer waiting time (10 minutes in my many orders). Peaked around 3pm so you may need to wait to get a seat. Clean and neat.

Celebrating a friendâs birthday, we went for the Singaporean buffet. The choices of dishes made available were value for money. The star of the night was the chilli crab with the staff had to made several refills throughout the night. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken rice and nasi lemak. The desserts station was slightly disappointing as not many varieties of the nyonya kuih was made available.

This was once the better dim sum place to go to. My family use to drop by every two months for the buffet dim sum on Sundays, but the last time we were there, the choices of the dim sum has been reduced. Since then we have stopped going for the dim sum. That being said, it is still a good restaurant for halal Chinese food.

nothing to write home about, but in a city where non-halal chinese food is hard to find, SEAsians will have nothing much to complain about. Due to its scarcity price may seem a tad bit steep as part of your everyday meal plan.Hi there, thank you for visiting us. Established in 2012 , serving up famous local dishes in a unique environment surrounded by a view of high end motorcycles and merchandise from Indian, Victory, Can-Am, Suzuki and Royal Enfield. Open 7am to 10pm everyday. Definitely a must try for the spec
I like the self service style concept for a start. Portions were good and food very tasty. Recommend if with friends to order the dishes without rice and share with a side of the three egg rice dish. Good option of condiments as well with super spicy sambal. Enjoyed it!

Nice for romantic dates, family dining, business meals because some cosy tables, private space, larger tables. Quite big menu, best dish for me is the coconut prawns with lots of hot steamed white rice. Desserts only so-so. Still popular with diners after many years in existence and above average prices.

They have 3 branches - this one on Batu Satu, another in Kiulap opposite Hua Ho and the last in Gadong itself. Food is cheap and tasty simple fare. Definitely worth going for. Only their Kiulap outlet/branch has an air conditioned section (upstairs) so if you have fussy kids, Iâd suggest going there. Or you can do a take away. If youâre adventurous with food, their tripe/intestine soup is yummy as is their laksa (a local noodle dish in coconut chilli broth).
