Recommended for lunch as you have a nice beach ambiance.Lovely restaurant & very friendly staff.We were there early on Sat eve, 8.30pm.We were distinctly uncomfortable- loud, very cold & dark.Not our ideal dining conditions- maybe we are getting old!The Prawn dumpling was actually very good as was the mixed rice but the green curry was the least authentic we have ever had- straight from a packet.

Had visited with my friends for dinner and drinks.. the food was very good.. drinks r on a little expensive side.. good service.. it's got one of d best dj for bdm.. v danced our hearts out for approx 4 hours.. great crowd..Dear Guests! Visited with family the restaurant is tastefully done . Indoors & Outdoors. We were initially attracted by the music, there seems to be a better quality of live music here than other places in Baga. We both ordered starters mine being a simple Bruchetta, Whilst my wife's starter arrived on time mine did not arrive until the main course's also arrived, The food was quite tasty and couldn't be faulted however there seemed to be a lack of co-ordination in when it is due at the table.To be fair once we had finished our main courses a large desert arrived in the shape of a Brownie covered in chocolate sauce topped with ice cream this was then flambe at the table, very spectacular, the manage came over to explain that this was "on the house" as an apology for the mix up with the starters.Very welcome indeed.

We came to Alex shack after hearing all the wonderful reviews. We can not understand why possibly just loyal customers who have not tried else where . The food was terrible the worst we had in any shack, atmosphere lacking with no welcome although the regulars were being attended to . The shack itself is very plain nothing pretty about it to make you want to go either. Was disappointed after the hype we had heard and a few other couples we met in candolim also said same that they had visited and wouldnât return this year . Was a shame. Joanneg184Thank you for your review. However I'm astounded at how you can so easily criticize anything especially opinions of my valuable customers who have come and enjoyed themselves at my shack. They came with no expectations and loved it. And far as the kheema masala and Naan is concerned... I can understand that maybe it wasn't as per your expectations but what I can't understand is when rocky asked you how your meal was, you said that the portions were big. At that time you could have easily said that you didn't like it. My guess is that if you had told us the truth then, you wouldn't have been able to complain about it in your review. You are perfectly entitled to your opinions and to voice them. However I feel that it's not in good taste to generalise about opinions of others regarding my shack. Whether a customer is new or a regular, we always look after them well. It really is a shame that you visited my shack to judge rather than enjoy. All I aim to do is help my customers enjoy their long awaited holiday to the best of my ability... nothing more than that and nothing less.

Visited this pretty restauraunt on a monday night, they had some great live music. The musician played the guitar and sang some amazing songs!! He was AMAZING!! The place was packed and it seemed like everyone was enjoying the music and singing along, including me and my brother. They have a nice big dance floor as well, some couples were dancing away to the awesome music.The staff was really amazing too and helpful as well. It was my first time ordering 'Cashew Fenny' - a drink native to Goa. I did not know how to order it, the waite helped me and guided me to order it with Limca and ice! It was amazing! The fenny was awesomee!The food was great and the desert was awesome as well, we had some good 'Bebinca with Ice cream'Do stop by for an amazing experience. The owners are awesome to talk to as well. A lovely Restaurant with nice clean Toilets and Premises. Excellent food and Service. Nice tasty food although quite spicy for some tastes so ask for mild if in doubt. Quite a busy place so may need to book in advance. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable.

I've eaten here a couple of times with friends and it's always been packed out, with British people mainly. The owner is very flamboyant and friendly and he does make you feel very welcome upon entering the place. It's just a basic roadside restaurant with plastic tables and chairs really but it has become a bit of an icon in Baga amongst regulars. The prawn crackers served as a starter are massive and very tasty but the portions that arrive thereafter are quite modest and the overall price of each dish is quite expensive, I feel, for what you order. However, my friends love this place so I'm happy to join them because the food is always served hot and is fairly tasty too. If you want a change from Indian or European food this place is a good restaurant to come to, mainly because the staff make it run efficiently.
