We popped into the Friendship for an early evening meal and left feeling really perplexed. Firstly I must say that the lady serving was very nice so there was no issue with staff, but it was a strange meal. I have had Chinese on very many occasions and been to China on business at least 50 times and this restaurants special fried rice was the strangest, a yellow bland ride with not very much in it, see picture. We also ordered King Prawns in black bean sauce, these were the smallest " king" prawns of all time, and really the only real taste was a bit of soy sauce that I put on to give the meal life. The San Chou bau was also unusual with lots of chicken but no pork in sight just big chunks of chicken, never had chicken in that dish before!! The restaurant has been going for a long time, but am sorry to say it was the most bland Chinese I have eaten and the prices are also on the higher side for a small Chinese. See pics of King! Prawns, and yellow fried rice.

I've had food from here twice. The first time was when we were visiting Bunbury overnight, so we stopped here for dinner. It was fairly quiet, and service and food was both very good. The second time was to grab a lunch special as a takeaway. I was surprised how packed the place was! The lunch specials are very good value, so it is obviously a very popular choice for people over lunch, which itself says something very positive about the place. The food was the usual good value Chinese, and for the low price it tasted excellent. Would return for lunch take-away, or for a cheap dine-in meal over dinner. Probably wouldn't dine in here over lunch, given how busy it is.

Its been a while since we visited Happy Dim Sim House and decided to sample the lunch menu yesterday. Curry Puffs, Roast BBQ Pork, Sweet & Sour Pork. Garlic Prawns, Garlic King Prawns Seafood and assorted soft drinks were enjoyed by the group. Great value lunch meals and friendly service.

Had some very tasty takeaway from this Chinese Restaurant last night. People were friendly and the service quick and reasonably priced. Itâs not the flashiest place in Bunbury but they know how to cook good food. Would recommend.

Absolutely great Chinese food, place was a bit noisy, as another big group was there. We where a group of 8. We all order 1 dish each & shared them, it was awesome food, big serves, although I did think some where a bit pricey.

China City provides more than just food. It gives you a whole dining experience. Please follow us, to take a peek into what we do here.
I started to have second thoughts about choosing this place when I read the menu and looked at the prices. Had to eat my words when the food arrived. Biggest plates of food I've seen in a Chinese restaurant. We had the chilli squid, which was very tender and had a good flavour, the beef in oyster sauce, which I thought was a bit bland, but the best was the chicken in black bean sauce. This was the best black bean sauce I've had for a long time (and I do cook my own from time to time). Good sized serving of steamed rice, too. Plus free prawn crackers, and wine at $23 a bottle which was very good value. I would go back here again!Hi Seawife. Thanks for your time taken for the review and rating. We are glad that you have enjoy the dishes here. The dishes are priced according to the cost and other variables, the business does not take much profit out of it. We look forward to see you more often.Regards

Been a couple of times in the last two weeks, all meals have been good and tasty, sweet and sour fish, sizzling beef, chicken chow mein, combination omelette, special fried rice was tasty with plenty of prawns. Spring rolls and dipping sauce was average. They could do with a few more staff especially at night time as the poor guy on the desk runs like he could win the Olympics trying to the job of three people and this can sometimes reflect on the service. Lunch time specials are good value.

Used to come here often years ago and returned on a whim when passing through. Lunch has $10 and $12 meals which are fairly basic Chinese like most you find in Australia. Food is good, place is clean, staff friendly and obliging but if you are in for lunch, the service is quick and you won't be late back to work.

We stopped in for the $10 lunch special they offer, which is amazing value for the low price. As promised, after placing our order the food was ready in around 5 minutes - impressive! The food was the standard size Chinese serving - we had one order of Satay Beef with rice, and another with Sweet & Sour Pork with rice. The rice was somewhat plain (but definitely fried) with vegetables only being carrots and onions with the pork dish. But the taste of everything was excellent, the meat in particular was nice and hot and very tasty with the sauce provided. They also have a restaurant area so you can do dine in as well as take-away. We'll probably be back!
