Went here for dinner this evening. We were greeted promptly and courteously by a very sweet gentleman. He was our server throughout our visit and was appropriately attentive. We started with soup - egg drop for my companion; wonton for me. The egg drop did not get a great review. I thought the wonton was pretty good although there was only one wonton and a lot of cabbage! What made it good, I think, is that it wasn't too salty. This may have been a bad sign. Nothing much in our meal was seasoned. We made it a shrimp extravaganza with sesame shrimp and shrimp lo mein. The sesame shrimp had no sesame that I could see or taste. It was heavily breaded. The shrimp lo mein wasn't good either. In my experience lo mein is prepared with sesame oil. Not this lo mein. The shrimp was overcooked and the dish was dry with too many noodles and an overbearing flavor of ginger. To start we tried the pu pu platter (which came after our soup). This gave us an overview of the cuisine at this restaurant. The egg rolls weren't too bad. 'Nuff said about the pu pu platter. As much as we liked our server and his cordial greeting, it was not enough to bring us back.
Ok...so the entire restaurant isn't gluten free. But the simple fact that they offer ANYTHING in a gluten-free option (a garlic sauce on nearly any dish in lieu of the soy sauce-based sauce) is what prompted our first visit. Please note that I am only concerned with primary consumption for my son & am less concerned about cross-contamination. So if you have Celiacs or are more strict, this may be an element for you to inquire upon. The restaurant is very small, seats about 50 people total, and it's a paper napkin kind of joint. You basically seat yourself upon arriving but someone greets you almost immediately. The restaurant is nothing fancy but in our experience it's always been clean and quick! When ordering anything gluten-free, the server really takes note. She then takes the time to break down each part of the meal (soups, appetizers, rice, etc) and whether or not it's gluten-free. I think it's fantastic that they take the time to inform you.My kids' favorite part of the meal is the pot of tea to drink in the little Chinese tea cups. As soon as we tell them we're going out for Chinese, they start insisting on Rose Garden & raving about about the tea!The food is good (typical Chinese fare) but honestly the two elements that keep us coming back are the gluten-free options and the service. The ladies who have waited on us are always personable and fun. (The server we had tonight confirmed upon my prompting that they do indeed feed kids that misbehave in the restaurant to the fish in their aquarium, but she stipulated only if the kids are REALLY bad and only with their parent's permission!). She had my kids giggling but very well behaved...just in case!I would recommend this establishment for a family meal but it wouldn't be my first choice for say, a date or a special occasion.

Create your own stir fry at HuHot Mongolian Grill. Customize your grill meal with a wide variety of meats, seafood, noodles and vegetables then add our Asian-inspired Signature sauces. Be entertained while the grill warriors cook your food in front of you
It was our first time seeing a Mongolian type restaurant, and for lunch, it's quite a bargain. While appetizers and drinks are extra, the buffet is $10.99, so you certainly can't beat that! The "buffet" consists of different items you can put together to make either salads and/or a type of stir-fry dish. You choose the items and they cook it on a large stone grill. You can flavor it with more or less spicy sauces, and there are garlic and ginger oils and broths that can also be added for flavor. I've seen a couple reviews with people complaining the food was bland. That's their own doing as the sauces and spices are provided, as well as hot sauce and wasabi, so it's up to you to season to your taste. This is the perfect place for vegetarians, and there are so many vegetables and fruits, and there are gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly rice noodles as a choice. We were in there at an off-time (3:00 p.m.), and I would wonder how this concept would work at a busy time of day, as it would seem there could be long lines and wait times when crowded. But we did not have that, and it is a fun place to go. . .a little like a Hibachi Japanese place. Looks like a fun place to go with a group of friends as well.

Online search indicated great food. The storefront was less than remarkable but, the interior was very nice!!!Food selection was good and our choices were delicious. Sweet sour chicken was hot and delicious. Crab wontons hot and tasty. Shrimp and pineapple was also very nicePrices very reasonable and portions were plentiful

This place has a large selection of food and recently I have noticed that their ingredients are fresher and the food is improved. This place also has one of the better hot and sour soups and sesame chicken near my neighborhood. I would recommend these guys if your looking for a good delivery place that offers many different well-prepared dishes. Con - they forgot to deliver my lemonade!

We have been going to Tea Garden for about 30 years, and it has been our favorite go-to restaurant. However, things have changed!First, the prices have increased dramatically. What used to be $8 is now $12.Second, the portion size has decreased.Even with these two changes, we still would go back. But the third problem is the killer. The server Stephanie, who used to do a great job, is suddenly in a terrible mood all the time. She slams the food on the table. She is brisk and seems put out when you order. She takes forever to come to the table to take an order, and you can wait 30 minutes for her to bring a check at the end. She is constantly shouting across the restaurant in Chinese yelling at another server. She is simply rude!!!We spoke with the manager who simply said, "When you come next time, ask that you not have Stephanie." Well, there will probably not be a next time.We will miss Tea Garden.
