Things to do in Anderson
We recently moved into the same neighborhood near the China House. We drove past the place several times trying to decide if they were open or not. Finally one day we stopped and decided to try it out. We like to support businesses in our neighborhood. We walked in and the dining hall was empty with only one young man behind the check-out counter. He asked my wife and I if he could help us and we said we would like to eat and if it would be OK to sit down. He indicated we needed to order first, so we stepped up to the counter and began looking at the menu. We then told him what we wanted and again I asked if we could dine in. He pointed to a booth and we sat down. When we got our food it was in styrofoam "carry-out" containers. He did finally bring us some eating utensils and we had water to drink. While we were there, which was around lunch time, we observed several people pickup take-out orders. The food we order was good, but I would certainly not recommend "dining in". We certainly got the impression we were not welcome or expected as "diners".
It's a smaller restaurant with a smaller buffet but very good food. It has your typical Chinese food with 3 types of soup. A small sushi selection. Great price

This is just another Panda Express. The food is consistent with the other Panda Expresses I've been to in air ports. It is not Chinese food. It is not authentic. It fries most meats/poultry (again, not authentic). I do recognize that it works for many people: you get your food fast, you can a convenient, well-maintained place to sit down. The bathroom is clean and functional. Here is a tip: to eat healthy, get white rice and side dishes that are not fried. Emphasize veggies rather than the meats. A lot of customers get fried rice automatically because that is on display, and then they add on other fried stuff (also on display). I overheard one server training another, telling her to keep certain dishes under cover because they dry out fast (beef with broccoli and steamed veggies). These are the two healthiest dishes on their menu, but if they're covered, people are less likely to order them, as opposed to the fried, greasy stuff that keeps well in open air.
Lantern House Asian Bistro is a newly opened restaurant in Anderson, Indiana serving modern Asian cuisine. We use the best ingredients -all of our dishes are made to order from scratch - and provide a great atmosphere. Looking forward to hosting you soon!
I dont know how you can complain. Food is incredible. The 2 lady servers were so good at their jobs, the perfect server. We tried green beans, crab wontons, egg rolls, chef special chicken which came in a larger than expected serving size with a huge pile of fried rice, and salmon sushi roll. Beer and wine are $4 each. I was expecting the small serving sizes people talk about but these were way big. We are going back week. Our new favorite place.

I had worked in Anderson approximately 15 years ago and always enjoyed having lunch there. For a carryout, you could not beat the rainbow fried rice. The hot chicken on the buffet was by far the best I have ever eaten. The hostess was always incredibly nice. In 2002, I moved out of state and while I was able to visit there a couple of times early on, it soon reached the point that the only time I visited Indiana was for the Indianapolis 500. We normally stayed thru Monday, but unfortunately YIPs is closed on Mondays so as the years went by, the hot chicken became a distant memory. This year, we decided to stay until Wednesday so that my wife could visit friends and my 13 year old daughter (who had heard me rave about YIPS her entire life) and I could enjoy dinner there. We took our host in Indy and met old friends from Anderson and what a great meal! The wonderful hostess greeted me with a hug once she got over her shock (I think it had been 12 years since I had been there) and immediately went back into the kitchen to ensure there would be a constant supply of hot chicken. My friend that we brought up from Indianapolis vowed he would be coming back with his wife and if possible, we will make our trip next year an extra day longer so that we can once again enjoy an outstanding meal at YIPs Chopstick House. If you are looking for an unpretentious restaurant with great food and wonderful people, than YIPs is the place to go.

It had been years since we had been to Wing On Inn. The family wanted carry-out and I suggested we order from them. They had a menu on their facebook page, so it was easy to decide what we wanted. The food was excellent. The portions were large and everything tasted fresh. We will be ordering again very soon!
We offer Japanese Hibachi, Teriyaki, Sushi and few things of Chinese food! We do carry out and dine-in.
My family including myself live this restaurant! It's like those hibachi grill without the high prices and they don't cook the food Infront of you but taste just as good. The prices are decent. By far best crab ragoon I've ever had. Try fried rice with yum yum sauce ! Very clean and friendly. Kinda cold ,dark, and empty but well worth it!
