I had dinner here with a friend as the some Chilean friends and the tour guide recommended it. We really enjoyed it, food was fresh ( especially fish) and good and the service very friendly. Highly recommended.

As I walked out of Neruda's house I came upon this restaurant which is very small but what it lacks in size it offers in service and food. It is a fixed price menu that is relatively cheap.Usually on the menu you have fish, pork and poultry for your selection. I went with the Reineta which is a fish and it was good although a bit dry. However, the seasoning was excellent. The owner is attentive and will explain to you not only the menu items but other things about Valparaiso. They define hospitality!!!

Hidden away at the upper part of the old town but well worth the effort to find this little gem of a restaurant.Great views over the city at night especially from the outside terrace.Romance on a plate ! Food was great as well...Ciabatta toast with parmesan cheese,Cerviche of fish with shrimps and lemon turmeric sauce.Main course Austral hake, mustard emulsion and dauphinoise potatoes all rounded off with a yummy chocolate crème brulee and clementine sorbet.Service friendly and efficient and top quality food served with style.I rather liked the place-lots !

We ate a very good dinner here --- following a very tasty free appetizer, I ate the pescado de roca and my wife had the vegetarian curry. Both the environment --- comfortable and quiet --- and the service were excellent. The prices are very reasonable. (The address listed is correct, but the spot at which the map puts the restaurant is completely wrong.)Thank you for your visit we are waiting for you again.

As other reviews attest, this restaurant is a surprisingly upscale find in a neighborhood of dilapidated buildings, uncollected trash, mangy dogs and urine smells. One hopes it is a harbinger of things to come in the barrio. The interior is stylishly decorated with exposed antique bulbs, industrial chic piping, plants in silver buckets. A huge an interesting map of Valparaiso adorns the wall. Our waiter was friendly, prompt and helpful. We were surprised to find that they excellent Coda beer on draft and most drinks go for 2 for 5000, which is good. I enjoyed a nice pisco sour and, later, a Coda American Pale Ale. I ordered the Quiona, Palta, Limon dish, my wife had the Gnocchi and my father-in-law had the Paella. All of us loved our dishes, although all were on the small side and the Paella was clearly best in show. The mark of a good chef is that the items on the menu are each distinct in flavor and presentation and this was true of our meal. We were tempted to by the dessert list and the Colombian coffee being brewed, but we decided to forego both. We will definitely return to Barrio Huerto, but a few things hold me back from 5 stars. First, although this restaurant is good it is not going well out of your way for unless you are in the neighborhood. Second, it is not great value. Most of the mains were 8900-10900 and the portions are small. Nevertheless, Barrio Huerto deserves a visit.
Cafeteria and restaurant in the Cultural Park of ValparaÃso. In our kitchen we gather the best products of organic farmers in the region. We are a meeting place, where you can meet with friends, connect and work on your projects or arrange a work meeting,
