Outside Copiapo on the way to the airport you find this very friendly place. They serve breakfasts, sandwiches, and excellent homemade cakes (with a wide selection of vegan offers). The owners have put up a lot of work to make visitors feel cosy in the little house, the shady terrace or the well kept garden with a variety of desert plants.

This restaurant is easy to find - it's bright yellow! Parking is available on the street or at the back, although accesing it can be a bit difficult, given the one-way streets.Inside is a big, open space, evenly divided into smoking and non-smoking sections. In the few times we've been here, there are rarely any people in the smoking section, so one wonders at the logic of the 50:50 division.Service is normally reasonably attentive and proved to be so on this occasion. We were there as a work group for dinner and they coped well with a sudden arrival of 10 people without reservation (administrative error on our behalf). Some minor table reshuffling and we were fine.Drinks were ordered without too much fuss, although there is always the chance of the waiter returning and telling you that they don't actually have what you ordered, so please choose something else - on a previous occasion, I'd asked for a bottle of champagne. It took a long time to arrive and when it did, it wasn't very cold. I eventually twigged that they'd had to send someone out to buy a bottle and then put it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes...The menu offers a good selection, some of which is outside of the typical things you find on regional Chilean menus, which is makes for a nice change. Unfortunately the menu is, to me, poorly ordered, so make sure you read the whole thing first before deciding what you want!A number of menu items are invariably not available, which is an unfortunate habit of many Chilean restaurants. The menu may be a wishlist of things that might be available one day. On this occasion, my choice of a grilled vegetables was available, which was pleasing. They were very good too, one of the few vegetarian options available, which to be fair, isn't a big surprise given that the restaurant is a parillada. The various meat selections by others in our group seemed to be enjoyed by all, although as usual, the blood sausages were left over! The attention of our waiter was a bit too enthusiastic - he tried to clear some of our plates before we were finished, but on the whole, it was reasonable.Overall, this is one of the better restaurants in Copiapo. Not fine dining, but not too bad either. The music and/or TV can be a bit loud.

satisfying âcasseroleâ of potatoes, peppers, choclo, onions; also ample guacamole, tasty salsa, and rice tacos....

I was in Copiapo 1 night on business and needed a good but quick dinner. Although my first choice was closed Bavaria just down the street. The waiters seemed very attentive and quickly steared me to their specialty, the roasted pork leg platter. It hit the spot, tender, juicy, with a bitter sweet relish on the side, mashed potatoes and a side salad with palta (Avocado).Quick, delicious and simple.Surprised that this place had only 3 reviews. If your first choice isn't available, this is a excellent second choice.

We had a great evening with very good food and good service from the waiters that made sure we had everything we needed the whole evening.

Located behind one of the Petrobras gas stations, the location doesn't inspire much confidence. Decor is certainly somewhat truck-stop as well. The smoking section is the more attractive of the two dining zones, apart from containing people smoking! The menu offers a reasonable choice - pizzas, churrascos, sandwiches, papas fritas etc., plus more substantial items such as lomo a lo pobre, pastas etc. There's even some slightly out-of-the-ordinary offerings such as a tabla de verduras and tortillas. The pizzas are quite good (for Copiapo) and reasonably priced (for Copiapo). My partner says the papas fritas are also very good, but personally I find them a little too oily.Service is generally quite efficient. The pebre can be quite picante!Overall, it represents reasonable value for an uncomplicated lunch or dinner.

Came here for a hearty Chilean dinner and that's exactly what we got! Although it's actually a restobar the food was delicious and very filling. The waitress was excellent and really made everything as excellent as possible. The atmosphere in the restaurant was spot on; we ate in a lovely side room which had cushions and tables at floor level. Very highly recommended.

I came here with 10 others from a local mine. We were treated excellent. The ladies got a gift. The owner was sure we were well treated and that we enjoyed the food. Recommend it highly

Very enjoyable meal here yesterday evening, although part of the enjoyment was watching the overworked owner running around doing all the waiting & serving on his own. Despite that, we werenât kept waiting for anything. My partnerâs Corvina a la plancha wasnât great but the Trilogia starter (prawns, pulpo & ceviche) was delicious as was my Congrio frito.
