Things to do in Casablanca

After reading the TripAdvisor reviews and seeing the pictures we decided to try this restaurant. I honestly don't know where those pictures are from, I can only say that only one of them is actually of Vinedos de Parra in Casablanca. We found the same address on our GPS that the review stated, with the same name of the restaurant written on the wall, but it's a far, far cry from the elegant restaurant depicted! It was very simple, basic, mediocre food and certainly not worth returning. Everything about the restaurant is typical of a local, small, "picada" of a small town, but don't expect anything near what the photos show. Nothing fancy here, just overpriced very average food on old plates, cheap silverware and glasses from a pisco company. We tried four different dishes and none of us wanted to finish any of them. Beware.

Our host told us about this place just off the square. We were delighted. The ceviche is wonderful! Pisco sours are very good too. The fish sandwich was fresh and tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Casablanca. The owner speaks excellent english and was very happy to explain the menu. Extensive "by the glass" wine list too.Muchísimas gracias

This was not my first visit here, but even better than previous visit.Baked salmon was superb, then mountain papaya with whisky cream, matched with delicious Indómita sparkling wine.Service was friendly and efficient.Views are outstanding.Prices are high for Chile, but we thought it was worth it.

We lunched here at the end of our morning visiting the Casablanca Valley wine region. The food was very good and the matching wines likewise, but not quite up to the standards of the wines we’d tasted earlier in the day - but they were exceptional.

We had a lovely lunch at Casas del Bosque’s Tanino restaurant on our drive from Santiago to Valparaíso. What a beautiful setting looking out over the vineyards. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the appetizer empanada - the best empanada we have had in Chile. Carmenere wine was also excellent. Fabio, our server, was fantastic. So friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

Reknown for its excellent cuisine, the Equilibrio Restaurant conciliates tradition and innovation, adapting traditional chilean dishes to a modern interpretation, using local ingredients. In Equilibrio restaurant you may enjoy fresh and delicious fish and
This is a gorgeous place to spend hours enjoying everything Matetic vineyard has to offer. It has a modern light filled design with wooden finishes, gorgeous lighting and overlooks a fish filled pond with geese and foxes wandering around. Beatrix Potter would most certainly love it here. The menu is big & broad. There are lots of traditional Chilean dishes and the chef will adapt each one for food intolerances. The tuna ceviche was amazingly light & fresh. Complimentary bread arrived with I had the beef rib with avocado & tomato salad which was incredible. Succulent beef with just enough fat and rich, cubed avacado & small tomatos. My friend had the slow cooked lamb shank that fell off the bone into corn paste- amazing. The wines that accompanied it from the Matetic winery were super and included their multi award winning Syrah which they serve by the glass.Incredible desserts & even the coffee is great. A 10.

Although it's several month ago we ate twice in this restaurant I am sure it's still worth visiting. The food was excellent and so were the wines. The staff was very friendly and ambitious. We visited Macerado during the week so it was not very crowdy. Ag
Good service in this friendly restaurant. Served by Margarita who was very good at helping us to understand the menu. An interesting variety of dishes with some different twists to them. The food was good, but not excellent. Beef was tender in some parts no sinewy or tough in others. Veg was excellent. As you'd expect the wine was really good.

This vineyard is unique in the area of Casablanca valley as it has sparkling wine that other vineyards in Chile doesn't produce regularly. Try the Rose - it is delicious. Also we had a great experience in the restaurant - all was delicious and fresh. I had the best sweetbreads I ever had in my life (and I had my fare share).
