This little restaurant is a real diamond in the area. It is quite small, cosy and has a very nice atmosphere.The family that runs this nice place is extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and very humorous. We had a lot of fun there.The housewine is unbelievably inexpensive and always very good.The food is excellent. Especially all the noodles/pasta. They are the very best all around. Within 2 weeks we have tried several other places but this restaurant offers the world's best pasta "al dente" ever. No matter in which combination (my favorite: the pasta with rabbit/olives-ragout), it is always absolutely delicious.There is no Pizza on the menu which is no problem at all !They offer delicious Tuscany dishes and we tried almost all of them the menu up and down.The Bistecca (T-Bone-Steak) was unexplainably delicious.Prices are rather low, quality and service is absolutely high.Tuesday's it is closed!We can strongly recommend this place.Be there early as it usually fills up after 8pm (opens around 7pm) and does not have too many seats.

We were staying nearby and went based on TA positive reviews. We went for lunch and had a great experience. The food was excellent, I had one of the best ever risottos with calamari, asparagus and pecorino cheese. Others had the pastas which were also excellent. The service was also excellent with very good servers who spoke very good English and were friendly and helpful. As a result we went back another night for dinner of pizza and again found the food very good as well as the service. Highly recommended for food, service and value for money.

The food and drinks at La Capannina are reasonable and pretty good. We had a nice starter with noodles which we shared, pizza for main course and tiramisu and semifredo for dessert together with a light house wine and water. All was good. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Restaurant where you can taste dishes of Tuscan cuisine and savor local wines. We have a wonderful veranda summer evenings and we also do fish dishes. Suitable for ceremonies or for quiet evenings with family or as a couple.

The restaurant is in the town of Monteroni d'arbia which is a short drive from our cottage. We had the steak with truffles which was excellent. The appetizer of quail eggs & truffle was another scorer. Their mains of pasta with wild boar ragu was good too. Overall, the food is highly commendable. We even returned a second time!

We have been in Tuscany for a week and have had great meals and great wines all over the region. We keep coming back to our favourite little ristorante in the small Ville Di Corsano, for the food, the wine and the great staff!It opens at 7:30pm so we are typically the first ones, after our Aperol Spritz is enjoyed on the front 2 tables, by the roadside where the locals gather to talk about their days across the street. The food is made with such care and every morsel is delicious. We have not made one bad choice and the specials always feature locally grown and sourced foods, meats and vegetables. Very reasonably priced and the staff are great!Take out pizzas are tremendous and hit the spot for 5 euros!This is a must eat here if in the area!

We booked ahead as quite a busy restaurant. It is situated on quite a high hill past the village of Orgia.As stated parking about 100m below the restaurant.The views are fantastic. Lemon chicken was very nice, the pork fillet was good.However service could have been better, probably due to how busy it was. Greeted very abruptly, took plates whilst others were still eating, asked for the bill 3 times over a 25 minute period.We paid the cover charge and the service charge, but in hindsight wish I hadnât. However we are English - ingrained not to cause a fuss!!!

It's common knowledge that one should avoid restaurants in highly trafficked tourist areas, but the restaurants ringing Il Campo in the heart of Siena are universally bad. However, right behind the tower is a place that is a significant upgrade for you. La Finestra is low key, decent prices and really good food. The pasta with olive oil and garlic was simple but delicious. The chicken breast in pink peppercorn sauce is highly recommended, especially for a quick fill up. Very thin, a little dry but offset by an amazingly flavorful light cream sauce containing local peppercorns still in their bright red skins, something I'd never seen. House wine is a 500 ml carafe (about 2/3 of a bottle) for less than the price of a glass in the tourist traps in the piazza only 100 yards away. You'd never know this place, and two other equally fine places next to it even existed unless you were told. I'd spotted this tiny area from the top of the palace in Il Campo, and guessed (correctly) that this would be a far better experience than the cookie cutter restaurants packed with blissfully unaware tourists in the piazza. Seek it out. They speak enough English to get you by, but don't expect the fluency of Roma or Firenze. A little knowledge of Italian will help here, as it does in some of the smaller stops in Italy like Cortona. Be aware that in Siena, many places close after lunch until dinner, so there's a three or so hour window when you won't get in. Seek it out, you won't be disappointed !
