Last evening in Florence. Dinner at Gallo Giallo SanCasciano.Lovely setting in restore old Granaio.Fantastic experience again.From the appetizer, try the grill sausage ,very nice saladand gnocchi, tagliere di salumi,main course 1.6 kgFiorentina.Good dessert ,not good selection of wine for thatparticular evening. But altogether great andvery good prices.

We had an opportunity to stop by for a dinner and ended up getting a great memory as well. We stopped by around 7 on the way back from Lucca. We started with the normal round of wine. Arron made some great recommendations and we had a huge platter for he first course..to say it was amazing is an understatement. It was served on a three tiered platter. I will work to add some photos because it will make the point! We then had the other recomendations he had made and were not disappointed. I don't want to spoil the surprise but if you get the steaks (4 fingers worth) get your camera out when it is delivered. If you are in the area I would try and make it a point to stop in and enjoy this quaint restaurant.

No regrets stumbling upon this gem of a restaurant in our road trip around Tuscany. Delicious tuscan fare, large portions, decent prices. The menu changes from time to time - it is posted on the board outside and on the wall inside the restaurant. It is not in English, but the staff will try their best to explain each dish in English. Service was amazing...! They kept coming back to make sure we are well taken care of, and made excellent recommendations on their dishes! House white wine is delicious! Came right from the local vineyard around the area. Parking is a little bit challenging, but if you cannot find parking in front of the restaurant, ask the staff inside where the next available lots are, they will be happy to help out. Worth to come here for a great tuscan meal!

A very nice âAgriturismoâ in a perfect position on the way from Florence to Siena. We felt welcomed by Federico, the owner, who explained to us the history of Chianti wine and of the family winery. The lunch started with homemade toasted bread, cheese and cold cuts, continued with wonderful tagliolini al ragù and ended with the typical âcantucci with vin santoâ. We also bought a bottle of Tuscany olive oil. I recommend this place because itâs very easy to reach from the highway and for the kindness of the owner. Thank you Federico!

This was one our best meals so far in Italy! Our first night in Chianti after Bologna and Florence. We did the four course tasting menu with wine pairings. Each course delightful, full of flavor, interesting combinations and not huge, heavy portions. A more contemporary approach to the food and nicely presented. The staff was excellent, really passionate about the food and wine, and definitely wanted us to have a good experience. The setting was lovely, a bit out of the way high up in the hills. We highly recommend Terreno!

This restaurant is a local favourite with wholesome, simplistic Tuscan cuisine that may be a bit too simplistic for foreign visitors. The decor is minimalistic, the service attentive (though we were the only customers that evening). The food is slightly different from what we expect from Italian cuisine, in the sense of being toned down in its flavours. But if you are in the neighbourhood, you cannot go wrong in choosing this venue. Had the grilled aubergine, taglitel with mushroom, which was hearty if not gourmet.

Stayed here 4 nights and ate in the restaurant 4 nights, so impressed after our first night didn't go anywhere else. It is obvious that so much thought care and love go into the cooking of these high quality dishes, as each one is delicious and impressive. The gnocchi in truffle cream sauce was amazing and I had it twice. Whilst not a big meat eater, I was converted here and just loved the veal and steak (shared between 2) rare, juicy and tender. A huge wine selection is available and it was great to be able to try the local wines. Francesco our waiter was a wealth of knowledge and advice, assisting us with our choices. Padellina is the perfect place to enjoy the local cuisine with the locals. There is no pretension, just excellent food and service. The daily specials, which often include local game, are delicious, and quite unique to the region. Prices are a bargain considering the amount of food you are served. Visit with an appetite!

It was a wonderful experience to goto Dispensa and have lunch with tradition Tuscan specialities! Itâs high quality products and varieties and the Andrea Parrini the owner is a great, very simpatic and give you a warm welcome ! He can explain you all the varieties of Tuscan cheeses, hams and wines and itâs a good value for money... I was very happy to be there and I bought some bottles of Chianti wine according to Andrea Parrini recommendation. itâs a very agreable and intimist place in the heart of the Chianti ,Tuscany, I love this paese !
