The venue itself was lovely, and we had a beautiful view of the ascending moon in idyllic surroundings. However, the problems were apparent very early on. We were totally ignored upon arrival; we waited at the reception for a significant amount of time before we were acknowledged. After sending back the first bottle of wine, we could not drink at least 20% of the second bottle (even after being decanted) due to the amount of (really quite distressing) sediment.The steak arrived raw, and was not of a good enough quality to warrant being returned for further cooking. The two fish dishes were overcooked and tasteless. The salad was fresh, but the chips were certainly cooked from frozen. The service was disappointing: our waiter was the only member of staff on duty, despite there being a large pre-booked party. This meant that he was stretched beyond capacity, and we were kept waiting for far too long. The management should take note of this, and provide adequate cover in future. Overall then, incredibly disappointing, all the more so for a great deal of potential.

This restaurant is in the middle of the beautiful and nice toscany hills. It has a nice view, you can eat outside during the summertime. You can find playground. you can eat the real tipical toscany menù!!! From 1993!!!

Wow..we found a gemma tonight for dinner! We are staying in area of T Tigli restaurant in the Palai area. We felt so welcomed by Elena. She was busy but took time with every individual table. We each ordered a first course of pasta followed by individual pizzas. The pasta servings were huge! Excellent presentation,taste,and so well cooked by Nonna ...we met her before leaving. We each also ordered pizza .....amazing taste but we were so full from first course we boxed a lot of the pizza for tomorrow.The whole experience was amazing. The restaurant is spotless,space and yet private. The house wine was excellent. Very reasonable prices and wonderful friendly family as evidenced by attached photo of 3 generations! We have already booked to return two nights of our remaining three nights. Excellente all around!

We visited Il Rosso Della Paola as a big party to celebrate my grandparentsâ diamond wedding. Even with a table of twelve of us, the service was very quick, super friendly, and the food was wonderful; real Tuscan cuisine with an emphasis on truffles in a lot of the dishes, which was lovely. I was especially a fan of the rabbit cooked on a low heat which was the most tender meat Iâve ever tasted!Dear Chris, thank you for your review, we are pleased to know your opinion about our cuisine and our staff. We hope to have you as guests again. Best wishes to you grandparents!

This hidden gem in Palaia is worth seeking out - and you must try the beef stew with peppercorns, fusilli with pork and fennel. The dessert of orange cake cannot be missed. And the salted chocolate surprise is to die for.

Great menu, good service and lovely setting. Shame not more choice of food and shame they weren't busier.Seafood pasta was heaving with seafood, steak cooked to perfection and cheesecake to die for. A family holiday which ended with dinner at Le 3 Rane In Treggiaia. Absolutely wonderful. Great service, totally delicious food, in fact awesome food. Beautiful location and view. What a find, off the beaten track for mist but walking distance from our Air bnb. Loved this restaurant. 10 out of 10.

We had a very nice dinner in Lari. I Burattinai served very good food by kind English speaking personnel. The card was in three languages. Pasta came from next door, Martinelli. The steak with gorgonzola was tasty. The location on top of the wall was top!I recommend this place to all families visiting this awesome area!

As you'll see from the pictures, the decor here defies imagination. But irrespective of your taste in furnishings, you should try this place for every other reason. The people are friendly and the food is magnificent. My wife and I shared a plate of Tuscan meats and cheese, and then a lovely pasta dish - which was small enough to allow us to enjoy the piece de resistance - vacuum-cooked pig (basically a mini roast pork with crackling). Fabulous.

Our last night in Tuscany we had dinner at Da Carlo. It is clearly a favorite of the locals. It is a quaint restaurant that is actually fairly large inside. Our waitress was fantastic. She was very attentive and friendly. We had both a pasta and steak meals. Both were fantastic. The wine selection by the glass was really good and they have severval beers, some on draft. It was a very relaxing dinning experience and we throughly enjoyed the restaurant - great food and service. We would recommend.

I've eaten at La Locanda di Camugliano twice in the last month and both times the food and service have been excellent.I highly recommend the Spaghetti allo Scoglio, Spaghetti with fresh seafood was delicious !!The locanda has a lovely relaxing atmosphere, great for romantic dinners and parties.
