The Antica Trattoria Galceti, at the foot of Monferrato, in the province of Prato, welcomes costantement and, with healthy and tasty recipes. We are aware that the delicacy of a dish is derived primarily from the quality of the raw materials that are used
We stumbled onto this restaurant thanks to Trip Advisor. We made a last minute reservation for the 7 of us (grandparents, parents and 3 kids ages 10-12). The staff are lovely. They donât speak English but we made it work with poor English and poor Italian - and it was worth it because the food was incredible. Zucchini flowers were the best Iâve had, pizzas were delicious and the pastas were fantastic. And the desserts were great (especially the panna cotta with dark chocolate sauce). It was a bit warm inside - could have used a fan, but the restaurant is lovely.

We stopped overnight on our trip from Augsburg, Germany to Rome. Choose a hotel near the freeway and asked the desk clerk for a restaurant recommendation. Next door to the hotel is Cosimo di Medici, Michelin rated. It was extraordinary. We wanted soup, a glass of wine and bed. The Tuscan appetizer plate included crostini with pate to die for. When I told the waiter how good I found it, he brought another plate with pate crostini and a smile. The second plate did not appear on our bill. The faro soup and onion soup where fantastic. But, had we been hungry, everyone, and I do mean everyone ordered florentine steaks for their table, and we would have done the same. The waiters expertly sliced the steaks, moved them to sizzling hot plates which were sprinkled with olive oil and salt. Fried artichokes looked great as well and were popular. The desert cart, well, let's just say it was a higlight. House wine was great. When travelling back north to visit our son in Augsburg we will make a point of stopping here.

The starters are a great choice, all good , like the coccole. The pastas are delicious fresh pasta and taste like home made. The meat , well again excellent wether its the tagliata or fiorentina. The prices are very good value too.

This is a delightful family owned restaurant with a superb deli attached. The dining area outside is charming there is also dining inside. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is to die for. Their tortellini Mugellani is the lightest and best in Mugello. The steak Florentine is superb and cooked to your taste. The restaurant only serves lunch and is closed on Monday but open till 4.30 on Sundays. A real find!

Worth the drive up the mountain from Pistoia. The owner and his wife do a wonderful job serving a variety of food in an interesting setting. We had rabbit, deer, lamb and a variety of appetizerd and pastas.
Patate arrosto e insalata mista come contorno.

We were recommended this restaurant by the owners of the house we were renting. Therefore, it was a big letdown and probably the worst food experience we had in our one week in Tuscany. The starters were quite good, as it was mainly Parma ham and bruschetta. The mains, we ordered fish, chicken and BBQ ribs were a total disaster. The ribs were overlooked and very dry. The fish not cooked. The chicken was dry. On top of that, they forgot to bring one dish. We passed on dessert and payed the bill. Then swore never to come back.

THIS is the place to be in Toscana. There is a simple menu when you look at it but when you get it on your table and when you start eating it, you are in heaven. Great antipasti followed by pasta and meat made this cuisine one of our favorite and preferred ones! ...and the view. The view from the terrace is just amazing. Absolutely worth to take the steep road up the hill to experience this place.

The Ghirighio is a restaurant nestled in Valdibisenzio. The furniture in chestnut and a rustic, but ricerato, make the climate warm and welcoming. Our cuisine combines the traditional Tuscan cuisine, linked to local products, all 'innovation and research
Nice located restaurant situated up the hill next to the road to the small town of Migliana in Cantagallo. We had both homemade pasta, risotto and filet. All was delicious cooked and served with a smile. The chef of the kitchen can translate the Italian menu card into English and help you if you have any questions. The suggested wine complimented our food. For dessert we had "Flan con ciocolata bianco". Absolute perfect!Worth a visit!!!
