Views onto the Lake of Zurich. we stopped on the way to Appenzell from Sarnen. The food was incredible. I had the best ever Quiche Lorraine to date came hot, my partner had their chicken - mouthwateringly good, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Had a fine dining feel to the restaurant. will be going back if we ever pass it again!!

There are many good restaurants around here these days and this is one of those which you should try. The location is a bit unfortunate being situated next to a modern building, shopping centre and right next to a busy roundabout. But the building is an impressive half timbered historical object. According to the brochure Goethe favoured this place (1707) and had his meals here. Although the entire building is quite big, the restaurant itself is not so spacey e.g. perhaps for 30 people, charmingly decorated, clean, with a good friendly atmosphere. During the warmer seasons there are tables outside, they call it Sonnen-Terasse (the view is not the best, though). Main thing: the food was excellent. They serve Swiss traditional cuisine with a touch of nouvelle cuisine. What I would recommend is traditional â Rehschnizzelâ venison, with red cabbage, chestnuts with cognac cream gravy. They also serve the fish directly from the Lake Zurich, which, unfortunately, I did not have the capacity to try. They also serve excellent local white wines e.g. räuschling etc.

Lunch prices are about the same all over Switzerland but when we are a little away from popular tourist areas, the restaurants start to offer "extras". At the Sonnenhof we were delighted that soup and salad were included. The soup was seasonal chestnut soup and it was delicious. The service was friendly yet polite. Outside seating meant we had to endure some cigarette smoke from nearby tables. This is something that Swiss restaurants still have to come to terms with. All in all, it was worth the short climb uphill from the railroad station and we are happy to have stumbled upon this!

Restaurant Villa Sunneschy is open all year around. We have a Restaurant with 3 different sections, Smokerslounge with Cigars, Semminar Rooms, a Ball room and a huge Terasse outside for 100 People. Perfect for Events! Very kid freindly seeing that we are
Visited Villa S again, and yet again not only the atmosphere is great but more important the food is fantastic. I had a mixed salad to start and Filet Mignon Medallions (Rindsfilet-Medaillons mit Portweinjus). The salat was great, my wife and I were craving for salat after having spent a week high up in the snowy mountains. The Filet Mignon Medallions were made to perfection and so was the specially ordered fried potatoes!!! One critic thoughâ¦. The medallions were not 2 but merely 1 1/2, that said â I had enough to eat though .My Wife had Saltimbocca with Risotto (Tages-hit) , and she confirmed that here food was great too.I highly recommend a visit to beautiful Villa Sunneschy, I trust Beda and his team will surprise you with excellent food and a very nice ambiance.

first time here, but not the last. Place was full of people, great atmosphere, great service, friendly staff :-) and of course the food is just delicious. can't wait to return :-)
Limited menu but focused. The Leberli with roesti that I ordered was well cooked but the chef overdid with the salt. Service was perfect and very friendly.

We've been there many times since this facility was converted from farm to kindergarten to restaurant some 30 years ago and our assessment remains stable. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of Lake Zurich; inside is a cozy wood-paneled "Stubbe" atmosphere - or an equally cozy atmosphere in their wine cellar, which is the real trade of the house; just their food is uneven, some original ideas very well prepared but occasionally you hit something really strange and distasteful. Our latest experience was however perfect: a trout!

Well worth dropping by if you are in he area. They have a restaurant and a brewery store with beer and other items for sale. The food seems a bit expensive but I can tell you the Saison beer is very good.

Eder's Eichmühle has the perfect location in the countryside a bit off Wädenswil. Their garden is wild and still very well maintained. We went for the menu and were happy about the food. The first course was very nicely presented and tasted amazing (sashimi, prawn). The second dish was tempura fried Dover sole on a cucumber carpaccio - simple and nothing really exciting. The main dish, Swiss lamb from the alps, was too heavy for me - a huge portion of meat! The Cuban chocolate dessert on an apricot sauce was to die for!
