In Voronezh I found this hip place and was very surprised that along with the very interesting spatial design, friendly stuff, they have an excellent food menu. I would highly recommend this place to all the foreigners, first of all because it is located in the heart-center of the city, because it has a very friendly, hip atmosphere and because of the nice food menu, where you can find vegetarian dishes, along with the meat and fish. The prices are mid-range. And...they have an excellent variety of wines from all over the world!

I have been here following the comments of trip advisor and to be honest it was really true what I read about it.Really Fabolous place in soviet time style. I suggest to reserve a table in advance because is always crowdy. I did not and for this reason I had my dinner on the high table but it was ok! Traditional and well prepared food and really good! Good prices! I took pelmeny, salad and shashlik and it was a lot of stuff!! Nice choice of beer and of all drinks. In other words: go there if you are in Voronezh!!

Nice place with an open air terrace on 11th floor of business center. Tasty food, good wines, large space for big groups. TV available to watch sports programs. May be cold in late evening but they offer plaids. Service is friendly.

Balagan City is one of my favorite experiences. Located inside of a mall, this massive restaurant has something for everyone. There is a live theater production (we just saw a 20's version of Romeo and Juliet; Last year we saw a musical version of the grinch) witch is FANTASTIC! The singing, acrobatics, and pure talent is amazing to see and be a part of. After the show a band set up. They were so diverse and talented! We joined in the fun by going out onto the dance floor late into the night. If you are anywhere in the Voronezh area, visit this place!

9 year-old boy Andrew has already visited many restaurants all over the world and Stary Gorod is his favourite restaurant in Voronezh. He says that it's a very good restaurant. His advice is to eat pasta with souse pesto, pelmeny and pasta. And believe me, he is a specialist.

I have visited garmoshka twice when I stayed in Voronezh and I have to say that is amazing. They have an English menu and the staff is knowledgeable about their locale and culinary offerings. The restaurant for me is like an affordable fine dinning experience near Revolution Avenue. Really enjoyed it. I have tried their pemeleni and their stroganoff!! Very good!

We met with a friend during our stay in Voronezh for a midweek evening meal at гÑанд-каÑе ÐÐÐÐÐ .The restaurant is located within the listed building which was the original ÑпаÑÑак cinema. It is designed for around 180 visitors in comfortable surroundings, including two bars and two vip-halls.We were seated within a cozy and comfortable four seat table to the side of the main hall. Up tempo background music filtered through the hall and provided a pleasant atmosphere which did not disturb our conversation. Our waitress was very polite and attentive and quickly served our drinks orders. We decided to skip the starters and go straight to the main dishes. We chose 'Veal sirloin steak (medium) with stuffed potatoes and baked vegetables' and 'Honey glazed duck leg with carrot polenta and tomato puree'.The dishes arrived in quick time, looked fantastic, and were absolutely delicious. The portions initially appeared to be on the small side and the polenta might better have been described as chutney, but these were minor points compared with the excellence of the meal. For dessert, we chose the one simply called 'Dessert "Egg"', and 'Apple crumble with ice cream'. The 'Egg' was an interesting white jelly containing mango puree. The 'crumble' was merely sugary wafers surrounding baked apple and topped with ice cream. Both dishes were as delicious as the main courses. The only minor criticism was that, although we ordered coffee at the same time as the desserts, the coffees were served first, long before the desserts arrived - a little odd.The prices were extremely good, averaging 1100 roubles each, although this does not include alcoholic drinks. The whole evening was an enjoyable experience and we will look forward to more on our next trip to Voronezh.
