An extensive menu doesn't always predict good quality; but this restaurant was excellent. Let me qualify; don't expect gourmet food. But price / quality was amazing; my Texas burger was well cooked, the fries were crispy, the salad came with a very nice dressing. The ribs were succulent and fell off the bone. The waiter made a point of trying to speak English; his German was better so the conversation flowed well. After a hard day of skiing it was good to just wander down for a great meal.

This restaurant had rubbishy service from very rude staff, everything was too difficult for them. We were lucky enough to go to the restaurant with our Czech friends, so it was not because we were English. Other tables were getting the same rubbish & rude service. The food was awful, the garlic soup was unpleasant - how can you get soup wrong? The mains took ages & were cold & the price did not reflect the service or quality. Do not go here.

Our cuisine is based on a constant taste search. We search for the finest raw materials and ingredients, combining them to create an unforgettable culinary experience.
Finally an option where to go in Pec...not Michelin, but good price-quality relationship. We had two soups (Kulajda and chicken broth, both very good), rabbit and asparagus salad were just above average. Still good. We recommend better wines (we had two and neither one was good). Delicious coffee. We will definitely come back and see in time:-)

Great food, nice beer selection as well but if you look up there is a huge collection of witch dolls and marionettes. I didn't notice at first but then you see it, hundreds of them. I wonder what the fascination with that is and maybe there's a story to tell? Anyway, we had some mushroom soup and Krakanose beer and continued on our hike. Have a nice time!

Weâve been travelling all around the world for last 4 years, eaten at hundreds of restaurants off all kinds - this one is one of the best. And itâs in my (almost) home town :-) What a great surprise! Well done, Vrchlabi.Food is amazing. Glass of house malbec very good. Service - thatâs what it should look like. Pleasant, friendly, helpful, easy going, not in your face. Can you teach some of your competitors please? We are here for another two weeks. Weâll be back a few times to taste the rest of the menu.
The Horizont has two good bars (the restaurant is OK but there are better places in Pec). The first bar is on the 3rd floor and is Cuban-themed. The place has awesome atmosphere (even if borderline kitschy), very good cocktails, and has been like that for decades. Even during Communism. The other bar is a rooftop bar, brass and leather, with a formal, almost Manhattan-like, atmosphere. Maybe the Commie apparatchiks wares a little capitalist-style retreat when they designed this hotel for themselves? :)I held a martini cocktail master class here during one visit .... Very attentive and friendly staff! Well worth a visit. Great view!

Great restaurant with wide range of pizzas to choose from - they are delicious! We chose KrakonoÅ¡ pizza (with salami, bacon, onion) and Formaggi con Panna (cheese pizza on white cream base). The creamy garlic souo was smooth and thick - also very nice! The dessert - ice creams are home-made, very fresh and tasty too! The place is very nice with friendly staff, Iâm glad we stopped here. Thank sou for this lovely experience!

This is a traditional restaurant decorated with ski memorabilia etc., which situated above the town of Janske Lazne (on a main road to ski slopes of Cerny Dul). I've eaten here several times and I never been disappointed. The food is traditional Czech - (soups, roasts, game goulash, blubbery cake with cream) and is always of a high standard. The portions are huge and the price is very reasonable for what you get. It's definitely worth a visit, if you are passing by - even just for one of their special drinks - hot eggnog with cream and whipped cream on top - yumm.

My teenage son and I had dinner here a couple of times, and we find the quality of the food and service to be very good. Not the cheapest place around, though, if you are on a tight budget.

First of I have to say this restaurant is beyond inexpensive and second the food is fantastic. They offer traditional Czech food with other choices for those who want a variety. Our group ordered the Steak Tatar with âtopinkyâ Czech fried rye bread and garlic cloves on the side that you smear on the toast. Their wild mushroom soup was fantastic and so was the goulash with dumplings.Letâs not forget the beer â¤ï¸
