This old favourite Gasthaus of strassgang has just been remodeled and looks great.Located on the top of the mountain, the views are stunning. The restaurant serves a full bio menu including beer and wines from the local area.Taking the standard Backhendl for the whole family, we were not disappointed.Well recommended

This is a typical gasthaus in Austria, they serve excellent cheap food, typically schnitzel etc and good beer.Excellent place to visit in the winter when you want some fat on your bones to keep warm and great in the summer when you want to drink in the beer garden. The owner speaks English as well a German if needed.Very well worth a visit,

A stunning experience. The room and building were perfect - architecturally impressive and beautifully restored but also well thought through and practical for guests. Swimming in the heated outdoor pool in the heavily falling snow (in late April) was very special. Dinner was astounding, with wave after wave of dishes, all delicious, many with complex flavour and texture combinations but also some simpler dishes (excellent bread and baked petit four). Every element was completely fresh and seasonal and most importantly, everything was tasty and comforting and a pleasure to eat. There was massive technical skill and range of ingredients on display, but it was all customer-focussed rather than chef-focussed. Service from Tom and Katarina was excellent and friendly, a little in German but mainly in English. The wine list is massive. The wine we chose (2007 Sgaminegg) was excellent and the other wines we were served by the glass were rather nice also. The "small" breakfast option was huge with great range and extreme quality, with all elements in great condition and temperature. And all this despite the whole region being without electricity for two hours before service due to a major unseasonal snowstorm. To deliver this quality in these conditions is a mark of an extraordinary venue. This isn't a cheap place to stay and eat, but having visited all the main competitors in Austrian Styria, this is our favourite, it is worth every penny, and we will be back as soon as the distance from home permits it.

Me and my wife came here for her birthday and we were not to sure what to expect. We called and reserved a table and the woman who answered spoke perfect English. She told us she had a high chair for a baby. When we arrived the high chair was at the table waiting for us. Must say this us a 1st for me, great customer service which is usually lacking from the Graz restaurants. We were escorted to a beautifully decorated and bright dinning area completely free from smoke, again a pleasure for the Graz eateries. We ordered the day menu which consisted of cream of spinach soup and sausage, cabbage and sausage. Both were great, the dessert had a mixture of tastes that didn't work for me however it was all great. In the summer there is a outside area that looks down onto strassgang and would be a perfect area to sit and drink for a few hours. A absolute must do if your in Graz, summer or winter Well recommended

Nettes Ambiente an der Bar und an den Tischen in der Stube. GroÃe Auswahl an Speisen, schneller Service.

Driving around Unterpremstaetten, this restaurant looked the most inviting with ample parking and easy access. we had their house platter for 2 persons that consisted of a grilled pork steak, fried chicken filet and wiener schnitzel plus fries, rice, noodles, vegetables, etc. It was enough to feed 4 persons. The prices were reasonable and the dining area was comfortable with fast service.

We came with our family sharing all together the typical house salami: excellent and too much. We were in 6, ordered for 5 and for 4 was enough. Very various kind of hams, salami and local sausages.
