We had dinner and breakfast at this restaurant. The service was kind and friendly, personnel was not intrusive. Food was a disastrous experience. Dinner: We were looking for vegetarian options for us and the kids. Given the limited offering, we could only choose the Ratatouille, Polenta and Beans. Ratatouille was disappointing it had nothing to do with the name. It was a mix of cheap chopped frozen vegetables, the one that one finds in supermarkets. It was boiled (or steamed) and mixed with some herbs. The white beans were not enough cooked and there was an exaggerated amount of garlic inside, enough to kill even the liver of an elephant. Moreover, as I am an experienced chef, I could smell that the garlic was already old, which can be even toxic for a fragile digestive system. We have kindly refused it on the spot. We had however to pay for it : "Are you serious that you don't like it? People love it, especially with sausages!", prompted us the waiter . We had 3 portions of so-called "Ratatouille", each with 3 spoons of polenta, 1 portion of not well done white beans, 2 spoons of cheese, and 1 bottle of water. We paid 140 RON.Breakfast: We were hoping that - given the natural abundance in the Romania, especially in the farmer markets of Transylvania - we will enjoy a few fresh fruits and vegetables at least during breakfast, if not dinner. The sole fruit available was watermelon, already passed over, not fresh at all. We were so thirsty that we wanted to eat it even so. In the kitchen however, they chopped the watermelon on the same a cut-board with onion and garlic, therefore the watermelon was smelling of garlic and onion. We are all lovers of onion and garlic and use it intensively in our daily menu, I have nothing against these two wonderful gifts of Mother Nature. There are however certain basic common sense rules that have to be followed in a kitchen, especially in a restaurant, when dealing with them, in order not to ruin everything around. Certainly, if you love fried potatoes with meat and you are indifferent to supermarket based breakfast, you will be satisfied. The accommodation and the personnel are kind enough to make you feel good.

Sat in the lovely courtyard with the customary Romanian cat wandering around underfoot. Ordered our dinners but then tour groups came in to pre-set tables and we watched them eat soup and main course and dessert while we waited about an hour to be served. My husbandâs pork medallions, my Hungarian goulash and mixed salad were very good but what wouldnât be at that point? No explanation or comped appetizer. Trying not to impose my countryâs way of doing things but this bordered on rude.

I was 2 days in Sighisoara with my 7 friends, and we were looking for a nice place to eat, with competitive prices. I totally recommend La Perla, we were there 3 times. Nice and quick service, good pizza, gulash with beans (it is enough for 2persons:) ). Very good papanasi and Ciorba de burta, also mici was delightful and big. Great place to talk and eat not far from the clock tower.

We came here for dinner and the waiters were very friendly to welcome us. We had a beer and a glass of wine with 2xxl Mici with wedges with hot pepper jam and one schnitzel with mashed potatoes. The meal was very delicious and we definetly recommend this restaurant.

You had better like meat if you eat here. There are vegetarian options, but the menu is heavy on meat and hearty options. We started by sharing a traditional cheese and meat platter and it was enormous. So big that we shared a chicken paprika and then shared an apple strudel. With beer to accompany dinner and cappuccino over dessert, it came to RON110 (USD$25.59) including tip. Good food but not superb.

tucked away on a street a stones throw from the main square, opposite one of the many churches, this place is one of the best restaurants in sighisoara, and i suggest you dont miss it. i ate here twice...the second time mainly because as i passed, one of the 5 tables outside was free, and it was just a beautiful evening. i was planning to go somewhere else, but it seemed too good to miss as they are usually reserved, and being conflicted on what to eat the first time, i could get my second choice! YUM!the first time i ate the pork balanced on a bed of mashed potato with beetroot relish. the pork was a very well cooked, and a very large portion, but, i cant deny the potato was undercooked and undermashed, very dissapointing as mash is one of my favourite things, and one of the reasons i ordered this dish. however, all was not lost. because i was a bit meh about this i ordered the chocolate souffle with homemade icecream...and OMG it was something of a meg ryan moment!!! just totally delish, and i could have eaten this multiple times!!! YUM! with the main i had a glass of the house wine, which is in fact, a quarter litre, and was ok, but not fantastic, and was a bit fed up that the only sweet drink they had to go with the souffle was baileys. still, whatever. the second time...as i said outside on a balmy evening with rooks swooping around the belfry watching the sun go down i ate the salmon with mango and red pepper with a couple of warm rolls. the fish was just deliciously crunchy on the outside, and melt in your mouth delicious. with it a drank a bottle of romanian rose, which just went so well with the food. lovely meal.have to say, the service in romania is not the most attentive, friendly or caring, but here the waiters were lovely, and if i ever find myself back in sighisoara i would definitely eat here again.

Romanian and international cuisine served in a elegant setting. Best Romanian wine selection in Transylvania.
We went there for three nights. The place is very nice, the personal is acceptable friendly and the meals are probably the weakest point of this place. You can eat enough, you donât need to leave the place hungry, but I you want something very special, you might be disappointed. The meals are also ok, but not on the level of this price range. For this amount of money others make a bigger effort, even in Romania.
